It appears that the legal profession evidences characteristics of the larger American Economy, i.e., increased disparities in the distribution of income and wealth. Perhaps it is not merely the legal profession, but the American economic system overall, and the laws that govern it, which warrant scrutiny and overhaul. Haven't we heard similar criticism of Corporate employee compensation over the past decade or so?
