My late husband was in government and I still don't understand government or politics. It doesnt seem proper that:
Jack Bush and Rick Bush, brothers, should have been allowed on the same board.
Jack Bush and Rick Lucus, Jack brother-in-law be allowed on the same board.
Jack Bush, Chairman of the Board of Legislators and Director of the IDA is allowed to vote on IDA business at the County Legislators meeting.
It appears the IDA members are from the lower part of the county where Jack Bush lives, Jack Bush from Brantingham, Tony Andre from Brantingham, Doreen Garrertt from Turin and business in Lyons Falls, Steve Allen originally from Lyons Falls and family has a camp in Brantingham, and now Rocky Fawcett from Lyons Falls. The IDA attorney Tom Campany is from Brintingham. Five IDA directors out of seven and the IDA attorney are from the lower part of the county. It looks like the cards are stack in Jack Bush favor.
Should not an industrial board have industrial members on it?
I woulod like to get into Bill Burke and the windmills and Rick Lucas and the snowmobile issues.
Another subject for another day.
Could someone explain government to me? I live in Lowville and I would hope the voters of Brantingham would change their legislator. After the action of the existing county board e need all new members. As for the IDA how many industries are located in Brangingham?

Doesn't Steve Allen live and work in Lowville now?
If you're basing your criteria on where they grew up, didn't Tom Campany grow up in the Croghan area, and didn't he live in Lowville for quite a period of time? Doesn't he have his practice in Lowville too?
Did the Bush's grow up in Lowville?
Do you not believe that Doreen Garrett is "industrial"?

Rick Bush and Jack Bush are cousins, not brothers.

Jack Bush grew up in Lowville and ran a successful business in Lowville for over 30 Years. He knows the industries and the people of Lewis County probably better than anyone else in the County. He is fair minded and listens to both sides of an argument before making a decision. Do some research before you comment on things you know nothing about, and learn to spell.
And yes Jack Bush is my Father.

I couldn't agree more, it seems Jack is open and fair and so, in fact is Rick Bush who I wish was still there. As for the other Rick.....

Why did we need more members on this board? Lower taxes, industry will come, then you have more tax money to add members if we need them. Now is not the time to waste the tax payers money. Time to wake up fellow tax payers these people will keep taking your money, get involved.
