i've been looking for a lot near Trinity for about 4 months. I am interested in buying a lot or 2 in Trinity Plantation or Westwood shores, if it already has sewer and they allow mobile homes. just about every other subdivision in the area is too run down for me amd my wife's taste thanks. contact me here or my email if you are interested in selling.

I'm in the same situation as everyone on this thread. Paying over $330.00 per month - trying to do the RIGHT THING. I currently owe more on the "gold mine" lot than the tax assessor has it valued at. I don't know what to do - the day I purchased the lot I was promised that I was sandwiched between 2 soon to be built $500,000 homes. WHAT A SUCKER I AM. I am stuck...I don't want to ruin my credit rating, but I've had the thing up for sale for over 3 years now and NOT ONE NIBBLE. I reaching the end of the line with these folks. SHAME ON THE SCAM ARTISTS & SNAKE OIL SALESMEN who failed to deliver on EVERY SINGLE PROMISE they made....with their well produced marketing collateral and slick well rehearsed sales practices. Caveat emptor? I did my research...and it APPEARED to be the real deal. I was told the monthly association dues were $10.00 per month...and then years later I'm told they were mistaken and I owe $75.00 per month?!! FOR WHAT? No water?! No electricity?! No VALUE WHATSOEVER?! What a pity...I am a widow who continues to work hard every day to do the right thing and make a better life and I had hoped to build a semi-secure future with this "investment". I'm done. If there is litigation pending..class action or otherwise, I certainly would appreciate learning about it. Let's go after these sleazy criminals. In the meantime, I'm not going to risk my ability to pay for my primary residence as I struggle to pay for a totally worthless piece of NOTHING. What goes around - comes around. I can only hope that I'm there to witness it when it does.

KELLY--- offer the lot free to anyone that will just take up the payments. even this will probably not work, probably no one will take a TRINITY PLANTATION lot if you paid them to take it.

Speechless, I knew it was bad, but I feel for all of you since I have lived it as well.
the most terrible decision I ever made. I am not looking for anything back I just want whoever own the properties to take their land back so I can stop paying taxes. Yeah i stoped paying my payments due to lack of funds and i kind of figured i was screwed from the get go.
Have a lawyer involved but it's moving slow if anyone else is in the same boat or have a lawyer that can help let me know.

I too was scammed. We bought a lot in 2005. Hoping to build a home to retire. The area is now all wooded and no road access. When we bought dirt roads were in and curbs were being built. Now all you see is weeds. We have been told no access to sewer and electric hook-up and the whole story was a scam. We did our research before we bought and all appeared legitimate. Now we are paying a note and have no retirement home, they bill us for lot up keep and I laugh...what up keep! Only I'm not laughing, broke dream.

Does anyone still have to pay a $25 per month fee to use the golfcourse and pool? I heard that some people had to pay this. Who was this being paid to?

Can someone tell me the status of the land and the lawsuit. I have been purchasing my land since 2004. I too were made a lot of promises and was not aware that there were so many companies involved, neither was I informed of a foreclosure. I have been paying the mortgage, taxes, etc. as the contract states. It appears as though the value is not changing at all. Please reply. Thank you.

You out of towners should have asked the local people about lots first. Local people have bought lots from local individuals for $7000 and they are cleared and on the course. Any local would have told you that you were a fool to pay what you have paid for your lots and you would never get rid of it for what you paid for it. This is the country not the city.

My advise to you- don't expect anything to get better. You and a lot of others were ripped off, simple as that. If you decide you no longer want your property, you will find it next to impossible to sell. Trinity is not an area you want to live in. I am in the position to know what kind of people show up in Trinity to live. A lot of the decent folks have been leaving for years now - I feel sorry for the ones that can't get out.

Really? What do you see going on in this area? Do you own a lot in Trinity Plantation or The Plantation?

If any body goes after these crooks. Let me Know so I can help. they messed me up to. I own a lot, I paid to much for it but paid it off. I refuse to pay the taxes and maintenance fee. If anyone wants it let me know. I hate this place.

that whole thing sucks.....I have lived and watched that whole thing for several years.... I watched the first fella blow smoke and scam the "have's" who are so greedy and insecure and want everyone to know how much money they have...LOLOL when they got scammed almost 10 yrs ago.. they all whinned...now that land developer pops up from another state flashing and making BS promises... my father said all along they were going to be scammed but they (likesheep) handed out yet more money... then poof after that developer tore up all that land(woods destroyed) filed bankruptcy.... as greedy as the "Cool kid click" is it is almost comical how they are so quick to throw money without actually researching anything about whom they are giving it too.... They change HOA rules to aid the scammers... then cry foul when they get screwed?????? good luck in future growth of PT. I believe it is as big as it will ever get.... the last developer would not run ANY utilities elec, water, NOTHING... those people were screwed so hard it is pathetic... best of luck in future indevers....
