Well, because they hauled the guy to the NATIONAL FOREST, they'll be doing federal time with the Enron guys and Noriega. I'd call it brilliant strategy but that might be stretching it.

I almost understand Mr. Greshams actions. I mean, come on, the dude was in his house, in his daughters bed after repeatedly being told not to be. I'd beat the shit out of him too but then again I didn't take an oath to serve and protect.

I could also understand the frustration.....if he had tasered the daughter as well I would feel a little better about what happened. lol

Really though...not a very professional way to handle it!

Geez, who would have guessed that the local National Forests are east texas law enforcements' favorite dumping ground.
From the FBI press release Grisham went to his own house to confront the 'victim.'
Must've have been a live-in boyfriend of his kids' or a roommate/ ranch hand of some sort.
Obviously a big fella-
It took 2 to taser his ass and whoop the tar out of him. Bet we're gonna find out the dude was black....

But you know these are 50+ and 60+ year old Houston County sheriff deputies. It ain't like they ever, ever, ever done nothing like that before...naaaawww.
That would be a ludicrous accusation. The guy is lucky he didn't live in Rusk or Jacksonville. Can't file a civil suit on a town for hiring a rapist or drug dealer up yonder.

If he was told to not be in the officers house then he should not have gone there again. I think that if I was in his place I would have done the same thing, or worse, badge or no badge. My family comes first.

How about a restraining order? Like the rest of us have to do. Then they could have hauled him to jail themselves.

They may have had more productive measures to try before lowering themselves to that point? If it was my kid I'd be calling foe their heads.

If they had tried and the legal system failed them....then I could possibly understand the emotion a little more.

Not making light of the story by any means. An ass whuppin may have been in order but we dont know all there is

A restraining order? I have done that before, it does not work. The guy was IN HIS HOUSE after being told to NOT be there! Why does it matter if he was black or white? The fact is that he was tolld to NOT COME BACK. He should be lucky to be alive now. If he would have done that to your daughter, or son, would you not do the same?

I fully understand the guy was in his house.

But, let me see if I have this right. We take him out for a car ride, taser him, beat the shit out of him, pistol whip him and leave him in the woods to....whatever?

Now, I will say I don't know all the details but the last time I checked a law enforcement officer or "two" are supposed to show some sort of restraint and not violate the laws they are hired to observe and enforce. Just think what we would all be facing if this behavior was tolerated?

Regardless of how you feel the system is making them pay the price for their crimes. I certainly can't condone the behavior.

Your 123 made good points, but southern confederates and the flag point made no sense at all makes you sound like you work for naacp.

Who is the OWNER of the home. There is clearly delineated castle doctrine law in Texas. If deputy owns home, previously told alleged victim to not return to his residence, this could have been handled in a more succinct manner.

It was kinda dumb to take him away from the scene of the trespass after the alleged victim being notified to not trespass there ever again.

That type of warning is not to be taken lightly, at least here in Texas.

Sounds like a wannabe marytr/gonna do what/when I want and nobody tells me nuthin'(non victim got what he deserved) to me. It's just my opinion. I believe it's right.

They just shoulda not hauled him away. That's prolly tampering with crime scene evidence. Wonder why the police were not called to the scene of the trespass?

Has Cibil War(extreme Paris Racist ) paid y'all a visit yet? How About the New Black Panther Party? The NAtion of Islam?

And how is that a problem? Why is it wrong? I get the feeling you think it is. I'm proud of my Southern heritage and DO NOT buy into this racial guilt propaganda BS that the liberal media uses to make honest White folk feel bad about themselves.

By the way, the oraganization you were referring to is the Sons of Confederate Veterans. It is NOT a hate group.
