You are not listening to the people. Your funding cuts are due to a lack of participation of the people to meet your needs. You have to have the people behind you to have a viable 911 program. Fix this addressing mess and your attitude toward the citizens and maybe they will support some of your programs in a manner you like. You can not ignore the citizens no matter how many awards you are given and who is bragging about you. I do not care what you are being told the simple truth is that you and others in these COG's have set a policy that does not represent the people's will. If you don't fix this mess of 911 addressing that you allowed to be made, the consequences could be devastating to our economy. You can lead a horse to water, and you can try to make him drink, but chances are that you will fail to make him drink enough to survive. Rural Texas is under attack by people like you, who do not understand that while we live in the country, and like the rural ways of life. We are not stupid. Some of this states more prominate people have come from rural Texas. The next thing that you need to understand is that without rural Texas, the big cities would collapse, because there would be no commodities are in economic Terms (inputs) for you to work with. Keep rural Texas rural, but do not treat them like a bunch of retards. Whether this country realizes it or not, we have been systematically destroying our economy by trying to citify our rural areas with unnecessary delopments of our farms and forests. Rural Texas is what makes Texas strong. And Cr is not the name of our roads, and coutry bumkin is not what we are, and niether is the word retarded. One size does not fit all. Respect the will of the people you are supposed to represent and stop this square peg in round hole mentality that you have going on. And another thing if someone working in 911 dispatch can not read they should not be there. We pay way too much money for education to be told that our civil servents are educationally challenged. Stop playing these games. You are only making us mad, because whether you like it or not most of rural Texas is smarter than you seem to think. And if you do not think there is a problem with your addressing then explain to us why we are putting ribbons, stripes, and other such landmarking devices on the street poles to differentiate the roads. And I do not care what you think the law does not give you or the commissioner's court the right to change the name of a street just because you have the authority to do so. You have to have a better reason that you have come up with. And I do not understand why the justice department has not stopped you except for the fact that our government and justice department seem to be allowing you free reign.

Your loss of revenue is a direct result of your 911 addressing. Revenues for these programs come from several sources. You have made one of these sources mad and they are doing everything they legally can to keep money from you. Rural citizens are not all broke bums. And some of them even control the governments coffers even if the government does not realize it. You are also losing landline phones which pay a fee to this pool. These Cr and Pvt addresses that you call are not addresses but insults to the people. And that includes those that do not live on these roads in which you have chosen for no good reason to rename to insult the people there. These people have relatives that control your budgets. You and the commissioners courts may think these addresses are the cat's meow, but the people who are paying for it don't. And stop lying about these names being necessary. If other roads can have a name on them all roads can have a name on them. DETCOG = Detention Education for Texas Citizens On Government. Please use the real names in your 911 addressing system and show us some respect, and save the History of these Texas Counties. A name may not mean anything to you until someone fails to call you by your title then it seems that you begin to understand. Stop whining about budget cuts that you caused to happen yourself.
