as high school kids or young adults they know the differnce between right and wrong, yes they should be forgiven but still be punished accordingly. they knew it was wrong when they did it but didn't care. being classified as a terrorist is extreme but they should of thought of that before they did that. this crime isn't the only crime that sticks with young adults, for example if you assalt someone, that stays with you as well as many other crimes. sure they wish they wouldn't have done it now but they did and now they do have to carry it just like any other young adult would if they commited any other crime
It's not like they hurt anyone it was just words on a piece of paper. But they probably just thought of it as a joke since the first people who did them got away with it. And I know that it cost kids valuble class time and the school money but that could be payed back wit restitution to the school for the money spent and the class time lost and the school could use that money to put towards school supplys Ect.

There are two wrongs in this picture. Think about this: First: IF the kids who accomplished the very FIRST bomb threat at TISD had chosen NOT to pull a "so called prank", we wouldn't be discussing this issue. Second: IF the police had charged the very first kids with the same charges as the last bomb threat, we wouldn't have had to discuss this issue. I applaud the police for doing their job. Probably in the hearts of our police force they thought it wouldn't happen again and didn't pursue the extreme charges. But when it did happen again and again, their hands were tied and had to finally "make an example" out of the last case. It's sad, but it had to be done.

Maybe what I'm trying to say is, "Justice For All". In other words, if you do the crime you do the time. The law should cover all, not just a select few. If we grow up knowing this we'll know that if we break the law, punishment will follow.

Steve Jones is nothing but a big lard a$$. It is a shame that the police dept. has to spent tax dollars on a bigger police car to hall his fat a$$ around. If he gets much bigger they will have to spend more tax dollars on a Dodge Dually.

so i guess your body is perfect! why do you judge a person by their size and not their accomplishments ? i see you are hidding behind a screen name. boy talkin about prejudice why not judge him on his accomplishments like finding the kids who did the bomb threats or the drugs that him and his officers have found before you judge him.why not back him and if you see things report them they always check tips out.

I don't have to do anything about it Bill, you just made the biggest fool of yourself and I didn't have to do a thing. Ignorance is bliss.

For those of you interested in a truthful update on this matter, here's the latest.
Alex J. Howard was arrested in his hometown of Athens, Texas sometime yesterday. Here's the kicker to the whole situation... This man who was in uniform when he struck a child was bonded out and is once again walking the streets.
He currently has charges pending for ... Felony assualt of a child, Impersonating on Officer of the Law and Offical Oppression. I wouldn't be surprised if more charges are added before this is over. Just know that this a man with nothing to lose and it's a shame too. A few bad choices and blam ... your career is gone, your family is gone, your reputation is gone and your looking at prison time. He's placed himself in a hopeless situation.
Alex Howards home town is Big Sandy I was raised in Athens Texas for 24 years.. And Just to let you all know I'm Mr. Howards first ex wife that he used to abuse so I'm glad he is sitting in prison!! I hoped they would have given him life!!

Hello I have a few words to say about EX-OFFICER ALEX J HOWARD, he is now serving 20-life on 2 counts of assult and a life sentence for tampering with government documents. He has assulted his first ex wife and he raped her too. I know because I know her and used to live with her and him. He would hit her while she was pregnant with there daughters. He also cheated on her and has kids by other females that are the same age as his oldest kids. He is a rapest abusing black man who will only see the day light from behind bars. He stalked his first ex wife till she went into hiding because of the things Mr. Howard did to her. Mr. Howard would have never got his degree in crimonalogy if it was not for his first ex wife. My friend would come see me with bruses all over her while she was pregnant and would tell me that she was ok but I knew and had seen Mr. Howard beat her till she was bloody and brused Mrs. Howard would tell me she was ok but I could see the fear in her eyes when he was around her. She would put her head down wait for him to hit her and do nothing because he would say he was an officer of the law and the police would not believe her anyway. He would tell her the cops would never listen to him because he was a police officer. I tried to get her out of his reach several different times but he kept finding her till the last time she went into deep hiding with there daughters. She got a divorce from him and he assulted someone else. I told my friend to press charges on him she didn't she let Karma take care of him and so karma did. Mr. Howard went on the run and got caught and is now serving the rest of his life behind bars where he needed to be along time ago. Ms, Howard is sorry that someone else had to get hurt for anyone to believe her but that is just what had to happen.

Thank you,
