Maybe u need to get all the facts. Yes, Luke did great with the boys but he couldn't have done it without their talent. He is the one who resigned. He is also the one who walked out on these younger boys who bought into his system and the students academically. Trinity ISD is not at fault here. He knew exactly what he was doing and played protocol the way he did. Now he is in Onalaska! And possibly his wife??? Bendick used Trinity to get what he wanted and then bailed! You people that believed in him have been played. Onalaska, good luck with him and all of the deceaving that comes with him. When he can't get the win He will be gone.

He sent TISD an email saying he stepped down as head coach. He didn't bail, he could have bailed last year facing salary cuts with better money offered from high schools and colleges. He cares about the students in trinity. he is a great coach and even better teacher. They told him to reconsider being head coach and he declined. so they fired him as a teacher. You have no idea what you are talking about, probably support the administration that set him back countless times and worked against him the whole time he was here.

Around trinity everyone wishes football was the best. It's not basketball is. Some people like SMITH do not like basketball and are jealous at it's success. Therefor coach Bendick was pushed out of trinity high school by football he loved the kids and players. And might i remind u before he got here a 10 win season was good for trinity. Not anything under 20 wind is unexceptable.

Wow, stepping down as head coach is not bailing on the kids that bought into his system??? Being the great teacher that he is and walking out on the kids that will be tested at the end of the year???? Bendick had everything he needed. The administration backed him a 100 percent. If they didnt they aould have never asked him to reconsider. You people who bought his lies are ignorant as hell. Talk to the kids that he gave a hard time too all the time. Like students in his classroom that are trying pass while he is too busy cutting up and wanting to know about kid drama and getting in the middle of it and acting just like a kid making immature comments. Trinity Basketball excelled bc of the kids and their Tallents. Yes he had a good bball plan, but it takes more than just a good plan. Ask Chuck Langston his conniving ways as well!!!! Chuck gave him his shot and he turned around and sold him out.

I personally contacted Mr. Bendick about my sons grades and lack of help during classroom sessions. He denied it but yet my son knew about kids personal buisness, pregnancies, teachers personal lives, etc. Maybe this whole thing was a good move for the student who actually wants to learn about the subject matter being taught.

Ok, if Smith is no longer to coach, then who do you want as your coach? Smith is the AD and head football coach! Who would be willing to do it?

I say, let the kids ALL take PE. Disband football. Put the emphasis back in the classroom where it belongs. These kids need to know how to make a living and support a family. Compete in the classroom where it counts in the long run. How many Trinity grads are making a living at playing football, basketball or any other kind of sport? Come on, get real. I know competitive sports is good for kids, but you can be competitive in PE and the classroom. Then you'd need one coach and one coach only! Problem solved.

Stepping down is not bailing. He coached his last group of seniors that he has coached since he has been here for their last year. Thats the only reason he returned this year. He could have "bailed" last year. If what you say about him is true, why would he not take more pay at another school? Why would he accept a salary cut this year and return anyway? He could have went to a bigger school where more "talent" is available. About using the kids for talent...
Once again you can only bring up stories and rumors that cannot be proven. It excelled because of the kids? Only the kids? You are stupid. Basketball is not a sport where you succeed with only talent. You have no clue what it takes to take a team to the playoffs after several years of mediocrity. Has trinity ever had a district title and then went 3 rounds deep in the playoffs before? NO! The kids had some talent, but it was Bendicks intense and incredible coaching that helped them reach full potential. Basketball is not that simple but you are clueless and do not know that. And about the classroom...he is a great teacher. If a kid fails his class, it is because he didnt pay attention and didnt do their work. Simple. If he wasnt a great teacher and coach, why would the kids hate the school for firing him? Your argument against mine is completely foolish and you have no idea what kind of loss this is.

Ask chuck? Thats pretty funny I know him very well. He liked coach bendick even with their differences as a coach because he offered a good education and work ethic to the kids. Administration supported him? Okay bull! Why did he have to pay for the kids meals during cross country when he took them to regionals after winning district? Hmm. Also if he didnt care about them like you say then why did he buy them meals out of his own pocket at applebees? Thats weird.
