Some of you folks need to get a life. Crockett is a great place to live and work. We have a brand new vocational/technical college about to open, a large highway project happening on Loop 304 to enhance traffic flow, a brand new 3000 sq. ft. addition to provide new conference/meeting rooms to the Crockett Civic Center, numerous homes have recently been selling and the natural gas business in the south part of Houston County is heating up again. And that's just a few of the good things going on. Why don't you find something positive to say and do? Every community has problems, get involved and don't be part of them.
Yep, the stimulus funding for the loop project along with another 5.5 million sure is helping the town. The closure of the State School and business after business is a tell tale sign of success.
And the homes? I see a lot for sale and not many sold signs. Of course the gas leases, put a pile of money in every farmers pocket so they can die and leave it all to their kids.
Show me one old timer in Crockett that wants help from new blood and I'll show you 1 thousand that don't.
The towns dying.
But I'm happy!!
