I live in Oakwood Txas,which we call deadman's land,no cell phone service and no radio stattions to pick up. been livin' here for 4 years and now finally can pick up a station that is the BEST listening I have ever heard. THANK you for the tunes and KEEP ON A ROCKIN'!!! Still no cell phone service for cell phones though...:o(

Hmmmm..."deadman's land". I like it. When I moved here 10 years ago from the Dallas area I called it "Radio Hell" 'cause I figured KIVY and KBHT was probably played in hell to torment folks who appreciated good music.

I can't wait to find some t-shirts or bumper stickers for KHMR so I can help spread the word. I just hope they don't change format!

As a former radio person I would love some info on the station such as how you got on the air , your tower,

I'm in Oakwood and just found KHMR too, all I can say is it's about time someone put classic rock back on the radio, Phyllis is right, it's pretty much a dead zone, I have to walk up a hill to get my cell to halfway work and think it was a miracle or clerical error that I have DSL somehow. Long Live KHMR! We all needed a station that wasn't country or in spanish!

Hooray for Lovelady, and congratulations for broadcasting the best rock music around!! It's such a pleasant change from country music, which I refuse to listen to. I only tune in to our local station to hear the obituaries. Keep 'em coming, please!!

Very similar to 106.9 in Houston I think ... just keep rockin yall. In my experience "start up" stations" like this will start with satelite feeds and get lots of listeners by word of mouth until they can decide what they wanna do with it and then think we all wanna hear "local stuff" like the "farm report" or school menus..they don't have a news staff so they just read whatever they are sent from whomever. Then music becomes mediocre ..let's hope not..keep it real !!!!!
