Do Familes Have rights?

Is the Baker family allowed to see evidence for the murder aligations against thier son, brother, husband, dad? The Wyoming State Troopers think not, till the investigations are over, as they are holding him for the suspected murder of Todd Eugene Rich,42, A truck driver from Thousand Oaks, Calif. Clint Baker and his dad,Charles Baker 61, were both detained in order to find a suspect for the murder.Only Clint was arrested. Another semi ,under Baker Brothers Trucking, was driven by another driver that was near the scene as well. He was not detained or was looked at. Clint Baker was arrested in blizzard conditions, accordimg to Green River authorites, with no problems. MY OPINION! Mr Baker is an oustanding person that has no problems teaching a person with no expierence in what needs to be done, male or female. He is an up comming leader in the Crockett and surrounding communitys that should be respected due to the fact that he will tell the truth no matter what. Politics do NOT make him change his mind. Any person that even remotly knows Mr. Baker knows that murder is NOT in him. I have just found out that if Mr. Baker works driving a truck for Wyoming they will free him.

Personally if anyone checked out his past violent behaviors this was inevitably in his future. His violent episodes were increasing. I can not imagine him a leader of any community except maybe Eastham. Where he BEAT his way to the top!
Innocent is only for unborn and he lost that as well do to his own violence.

I personally know Clint Baker. He has been a close friend for a few years. He is a kind and caring person. He'd give you the shirt off his back. So for those of you who don't know him please try to get all your facts straight before you start popping off your mouth.

I have known Clint since the time we were kids. He has been arrested for assault many times, he is no community leader. The truth will come out in the trial, and Im sure Mr Baker will have an opportunity to tell his story, or reap what he has sewn.

Cool, you have been a frind of his sence childhood??????? where are you now????
Where were you a true friend when he was,"Arrested many times for assault?"(proof please) How can you call yourself a true friend if you were NOT there? Can you prove that he HAS BEEN arrested many times? What is your definition of "MANY TIMES?" People that wish to actually want the truth find it. Before you speak on a topic here, please look into it.

I think that we have all forgotten that our childhood is past. What we did back then was all a part of growing up. The type of person we grow up to be can be a huge difference from when we were a children. Many things in life change us. Mr. Baker had children, and anyone who has had children knows that they change your life completely. It is my belief that things don't add up in the case against Baker. Just for those who are wondering, yes I do know the facts as best, if not better, then some.

"Mr Baker" was due in Houston County court on April 3, 2007 for assault of an elderly person. He was also arrested on charges of assault in 1997 in Houston County.

According to the Grapeland Messenger (4-5-07)

I dont know of any other "community leaders" who are currently facing charges of assault......much less of an "elderly person". Thats pathetic.

I have to say that I have been FRIENDS with Clint and that no, I personally don't see him doing anything of this nature. Yes, he liked to drink and cut-up and have a good time, but murder was not something he would ever do. I think that the rumors need to stop and people don't need to talk if they don't know what they are talking about. Get the truth before you run your mouth.

So you are saying that the Grapeland Messenger is lying? Why dont you press charges against them for printing false information about your good friend?

Was he due in court just 2 weeks ago in Crockett for charges of assault of an elderly person? I would think that is easy enough to find out for sure.

I also think you know damn well its true.

Before you start passing judgement with your crappy comments, maybe you should search out what you are saying before making yourself look incompetent. Did you know that Clint was almost pistol whipped by this "senior citizen"? Did you know that he almost hit Clint's wife with a vehicle during the same incident? Did you know that Clint gave him several warnings before he was pushed back? NO you wasn't there! Also, as far a Oklahoma and the murder charges...Did you know that the way his wife and family found about what had happened was from the internet and the almighty "Grapeland Messenger"? Well, the Messenger will be addressed, but before you run your head research your facts ~ bone-head! What happened to INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY?

How do You know that I was not there? And do you know the story behind the elderly person? And by the way, media is media and they will do what ever it takes for a story....the truth or a lie....And also, they did not find out by the messenger or from the internet...it was a phone call from Clint....

All this garbage on the internet is real revealing, I can only be grateful that there are so many perfect people out in this world.....of course I haven't met any of them.....Mr. Bakers family loves him, he doesn't have to be perfect for this to happen....In the event of the elderly abuse, from what I have learned he was in general protecting his wife, for this I am grateful...on the other hand the courts will issue his punishment...I don't believe he is guilty of murder.....everyone has the ability to commit murder, and again it is up to the courts to decide not me....I just ask, is it fair to punish his wife and children by using the media in any form to hash out what everyone "thinks" they know? Trust me it will all come out in the end, things always do.

Thank you for this!!! I do believe this says it best. His family does not deserve the "crap" that they are being put through! Frankly, niether does he until proven guilty.

Do people hold things against you for what you have done in the past??? Do you know what or how he has been doing the past 9 years? If you will investigate closer, his "violent episodes", as you have chosen to lable them, are history, they are past "high school stories". Since he met his wife he has been completely different - it is amazing how a person's true character is revealed when the person they are with does not put them in a position to react to "violent issues". Better yet, have you talked to him since he has become a father??? He is a great dad and his children are lucky to have him - including the 7 week old infant he and his wife lost 2 years ago.... Now, that you know his life is not all "peaches and cream", maybe you can step off the innocent man for a bit and pick on somebody else.

As for the Grapeland Messanger.... I personally thought it was very distasteful of them to print a story on the situation when all ANYONE knows is what has been printed on the internet - INCLUDING THE FAMILY - they, too, will get their just deserve. As for the "Crockett Court Hearing"???? What the CRAP does that have ANYTHING to do with this situation??? Guess you didn't hear that the man almost ran over his wife, threatened to kill him AND CAME AT HIM SWINGING!!! No, see nobody ever seems to let the whole story get told on things.... I know you will come back with some stupid comment that is probably going to irrate the fire out of me, but just remember.... "Things ARE NOT always as they appear, life is not perfect and how would you feel if you were an innocent man put behind bars for something you were not responsible for???"

I don't think you really want to bring up "community leaders" of Houston County.(Past, Present, or Future) I know nothing about charges on April 3 for Baker, and frankly I don't care. I am sure that if we were to dig in the past of "MOST" of Houston County citizens we could find a variaty of charges. Baker is a citizen of Houston County, and right now he needs our support. His family needs our support. There has been no evidence to prove that he did this crime. So before we lay judgement on him for this tragic crime, shouldn't someone prove to us that he is guilty. He is one of our own, and Houston County is known for taking care of our own. If he's guilty of this then prove it to us. If he's innocent then we shouldn't tolerate "one of our own" being treated this way. At this point, Wyoming has shown us nothing to say he's guilty of this crime. You can't tell me they can't show proof, unless they don't have it. Look at the VT murders. They are flashing evidence all over the media. So why can't Wyoming or Ok show us proof that this home town boy is guilty. I love this community because we stand up for each other, but we are not standing up for Baker. This community can be the greatest community in the nation, but when it's crappy we bottom out. What is wrong with us?? We should be demanding proof. We should be standing together, and showing this nation what small towns are about. If Baker is guilty then prove it to us so we'll back down. We can't be faulted for showing that we care for one another, and if he's innocent we'll proved how great our community is. We are judging Baker for past events. This is the present, so show me something that makes him guilty of THIS crime. Stop bring up the past just so you have something to write about, and give me proof of this murder.
