OSBI agrees to allow expert observe rare weekend testing

There are 10 comments on the www.newsok.com story from Oct 6, 2007, titled OSBI agrees to allow expert observe rare weekend testing. In it, www.newsok.com reports that:

By Julie Bisbee Staff Writer McALESTER — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation plans to open its lab for a rare weekend testing as part of an agreement with a prosecutor and defense attorney who wanted to have an expert present during DNA testing. Henderson Hills Baptist Church The agreement came after District Attorney J.B. Miller and the OSBI went back and forth about when and how DNA evidence taken from a crime scene in a capital murder case should be processed. A judge in Pittsburg County is expected to approve the agreement today during a hearing. Usually if there is enough DNA evidence, the OSBI and experts hired by defense attorneys run separate tests on the forensic data or the defense asks that some of the DNA evidence be preserved for future testing. In the murder case against Clint Baker, the small amount of blood found would be consumed by testing from the state lab, according to court papers. Baker, a trucker, is accused of beating and cutting the throat of Todd Rich in March. A witness told investigators that she thought Baker either hit Rich or used a Taser on him while they were all in the cab of the semi truck, according to court papers. Prosecutors said Baker then pulled Rich from the truck, beat him with a metal rod and slit his throat. The witness told police she also heard two gun shots. According to court papers, Rich had an outstanding debt with Baker's associate. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Baker, Miller said.

How has her story changed? From what I can tell she has been consistant with her testimony. Just thought maybe you caught something I did not.

Actually the someone that was bringing drugs into the jail was in prison, not county jail. Read your artilcles more carefully!!! She is probably in jail for drugs, but that doesn't say much for Mr. Baker since he was dealing with people like this!!!!
