Would you vote for Mayor Crittenden and another 2 years of the same?

Yes. I do not see anyone running against ours. I like Hank. Sometimes change is not what it is cracked up to be. Just seen too much here later. I hate politics.

I like Mayor Crittenden, he is a good person at heart . We all need to work together for anything to work in the long term any way . Treat all and everyone as the same equal and get rid of greed.

Sorry to bust the bubble but Crittenden decided against not running. I don't blame him. The man was rail roaded. The man's payment as Mayor was taken away. You can thank the great Town Council for that. If I was him I don't think I would want another term either. I hope everything goes fine for him.

Double negative: "decided against not running" means that he has decided to run. So is Mayor Crittenden running for re-election?

Thanks; Henry Crittenden has decided against running for re-election as Mayor of Crewe. Don't know that it makes me happy but it clarifies the situation.

I really don't think there is anyone in Crewe that should run for Mayor. It should be someone without ties to Nottoway because everyone is connected to everyone like connect the dots. A fresh mind is needed to run this corrupt community.

It's called "fantasy". Most of the people in Crewe, the old ones anyway that makes up most of the terrible place it is still believe Crewe is a fine town. BS. I have to agree that a young Mayor might be the answer. If someone young was elected the person could clean up the Town Hall by firing everyone.

Do not count on that because we have found out with Obama that the more things look like they change, the more they stay the same. Look at who has the money and you will see they will always run the town. Wish it weren't so but it is true here and everywhere. Tell me who is going to pay the Unemployment to all those fired people? You are.

Dear STONERMAN,
Your dad tells me that you have an interest in running for Mayor of Crewe in the next election. I think that is a wonderful idea, son! You have many good traits. I think that if you tamp down some of your more obnoxious behavior, you would stand a good chance of winning the election. You would then be in a position to better both yourself and the community.
Please stop crapping in the sump pump!
Much Love,

There is a large difference with a Mayor and the President. The President has a cabinet the Mayor doesn't. If someone young is elected give the person a chance don't think "The person is young and will do terrible". Just to get on the citizens of Crewe's nerves I would like a young person to be Mayor.

I see that one is going to run. Look I am for younger people in office. I hope this man will win. It is just that I know the people around here. They need big changes in other places. I hope the if the man wins he will do a good job.

Anyway Guest there is no real difference in the top office and local ones. Sure Obama has a cabinet but the buck stops at him. He came into the office thinking he could change things. The only thing that will change is him. He perhaps came in too soon. Who knows, in the meantime don 't buy all the lies about what your government will do for you. You have to do something for yourself.

Guest you know yourself these are towns where everyone knows the other. Most of the people are related, so it will be hard to replace some of the officers that should just retire. But if things keep going the way they are some of the small towns will be taken over by the county. That may or may not be a good thing.
I think in Burkeville that the mayor honestly feels he is doing what is best for the town. It is hard to do, he does have a good heart and you know sometimes we all have to learn to forgive each other. I personally would not want the job as mayor or council. You can not please everyone.

One of my gripes about Mayor Crittenden was campaign promises he made and did not keep. For example, he said that he would hire a grantwriter and did not. It wouldn't have been necessary to bring in a full-time employee to do that, there are free-lance grantwriters.
Blackstone is practically knee-deep in grant money to make improvements to their town. Why not Crewe?

This guy, Lee Simmons, who has announced his candidacy for Mayor. Anyone have feedback on him? Would he be a good Mayor for Crewe? I don't have an opinion because I know nothing about him...would like to though.
