The only reason why Theresa Altemus wants more control over the School Board is because she is suing Gloucester County and the School Board for $800,000 dollars. It should be outlawed that any county employee be allowed to run for an office that ultimately oversees their status as a paid county employee. This is the bottom line for why Stuck and Whitley were Fired. It's all about the power.

Our brilliant educators were so ticked they resigned from the Meth Task Force. Shows you how much they care about the children! Bumbling idots! Who needs drug education more than children.
Grow up people!
Nobody has cut your funding, just asked you to explain how you spend TAXPAYERS money. What are you trying to hide that you don't want to explain?

The maturity level of the School Board is lower than elementary school.

It is budget time. If you budget accurately for justified expenses you should have no problem. Get over your hurt feelings and prepare an accurate budget in the format requested.

I am very sure the school board can tighten it's belt.

It's time for them to be mature about this and get to work.

What in the world is our state doing with the 100s of millions of lotto money intended for our schools? One store claims to have gave over 100 thousand dollars to our schools, only one and there are thousands just alike. The quality of our schools aren't changing our drop out rate is increasing and there are many other things wrong with our school systems that are obviously not being fixed with all the money from lotto sales and these outrages budgits. Money can't fix these problems, they need to fix the system and they would rather get paid.

Regardless of who his going to decide how the monies are spent for the school system, there definitely appears to be a lot of back door under-handedness going on. This is the second time in a row that all of a sudden an item is added at the last minute and members of the board are unaware until it happens. Why the hush hush? It appears as a plot. I don't believe Altemus should be on the board (1) if she is a county employee and (2) if she has a pending law suit. In MY opinion, this is a conflict of interest.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Get a clue before you run your mouth.

As the parent of a child in special education, we are constantly seeing that there just isnt enough money allocated for the kids who need it most. Maybe this will help with that.

The inbreeds that citizens voted for on the BOS are living up to the mandate they received from voters. What seems to be the problem? Before you can vote them out I bet you will be screaming like pigs going to slaughter from what they are going to do to you. It's just beginning.

The lack of transparency and discussion regarding this major change is very disturbing. The supervisors should stick to managing the county side of the house. They have too much time on their hands if they want to approve cost transfers of the schools. The School Board discloses every year how they spend by category so why is the appropriation by category necessary?

You have got to be kidding. Did you watch the BOS meeting from January 2nd? Mrs. Altemus acted very mature. By the way, that's sarcasm. The present board doesn't begin to have the education or background to make sound fiscal decisions for our school system, that is why we have a school board. Have you even investigated the pros and cons of having a lump sum budget for the school system or are you one of the "sheepel" that takes Mrs. Altemus' and Mrs. Ressler's word on everything? This should have definitely been discussed between the two boards first. The BOS did not even give a reason why they could not wait 30 days to hear from the school board. Do you know why they couldn't wait?

Local radio station says three supervisors have called a special meeting tomorrow night at 7:00 at Bot. Elem. Sch. Attend and bring all your friends.
