Atkins is a rubber stamp kinda guy. He will do what the Democratic party wants him to do.
I don't have a big problem with that since I am pro-labor and think the Republicans are full of BS and hypocrites. I use to vote Republican but never ever again. Those clowns are so up to their necks in their backwards ideology that they either believe their own lies or they will say anything to win.
All they ever have is rhetoric about job creators needing tax breaks, lower taxes, smaller government, deregulation and a bunch of wedge issues like guns and abortion. They never lowered my taxes, they have made government smaller only in ways that hurt average people and their dumb ideology is responsible for this huge disparity where the richest 400 people in America have as much total wealth as the bottom 180 million! Their idiotic ideology is also responsible for our crumbling infrastructure.
English is also a Democrat but he IS pro-life. I am not sure what that means. I don't know anyone who is pro-death. Since he comes from a labor background, I doubt he will be much different in his votes than Bert.
English has worked hard to win this election. I saw him walking the streets more than once. He seems like a really concerned guy who has the guts and energy to fight against the Republicans.
Atkins comes across as the kind of guy who would rather go eat a nice meal and take a nap than do battle with a bunch of Republican hypocrites.
The pro-life and pro-family stances of English are a concern. Pro-life means very little since the supreme court has ruled on that issue. The pro-family stuff doesn't both me too much. Maybe he will wise up on the issue of same sex marriage and sexual orientation.
The only thing "pro" that you are is a pro-moron.

Thanks for helping me prove my point.

The Tea Party folks are some of the dumbest and most illogical people I have ever met.
I know a bunch of them.
Some of them were acquaintances before the Tea Party ever existed.
When they were kids, most of them sat in the back of the class and hoped their name would not get called to answer a question. When they opened their mouths most of what came out was not very impressive.
Not much has changed.
I know one Tea Party member who has been getting food stamps for years and is living on disability. He goes to Tea Party meetings to complain about welfare and big government. Stupid is as stupid does. Another Tea Party member I know raised her kids with public assistance and goes around whining about "the nanny state".
The Tea Party leaders are people like Sarah Palin! Since when are the "C" students considered leadership material?
All the Tea Party members and Republicans have done is lower the intellectual standards of America.
It would be refreshing to hear someone from the Tea Party who had an IQ that was a larger number than their waist measurement.
All we hear from the people calling themselves conservatives is the same old tired BS about smaller government or how the free market solves all problems. That sort of thinking, and other similar statements, demonstrate the limits of their knowledge and reasoning.
Most Tea Party members and other "middle class conservatives" have extremely limited knowledge of science, math and history because they slept through most of that "boring stuff" at school.
The REAL morons in this country are the middle class people who think the Republican Party will tend to their best interests and who think the Tea Party is some sort of spontaneous result of "Real Americans" who were genuinely concerned about the country.
Wake up morons the conservatives are enslaving you and your kids.

Kieth will accept the Labor club endorsement for the general election. For that, he will support and endorse Caputa as his replacement, a labor club choice. This will be supported by the former Mayor and the new mayor and the labor clubs, and labor will again control the votes on the council.

Labor has controlled, now controls, and will continue to control all of what happens politically in norco. Period. And don't think for one second that they wouldn't like to re-anoint their puppetmaster in chief BL. He has declared that he is gonna run again and would sell his mommas soul to have that much power over the fiefdom once again. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Liberalism is a slow road to Despotism?!

Wise up!

Most of the founding fathers were considered "liberals".

Remember that liberal, Roosevelt? He went after Hitler.

Liberalism is what usually destroys despotism.

Go read the history lessons you missed in grade school.

I haven't heard an intelligent comment from a Tea Party member yet.

The fact that the Tea Party crowd thinks Sarah Palin is someone with leadership qualities is a good indication of their irrational thinking.

Frankly, the norco labor endorse in the gen election means nothing. Of course they will endorse the demo regardless of their past disputes with keith. Keith does not have to concede anything to get their help in the gen election.
The demographics strongly mitigate against a repub winning.
rekha sharma will work but does not have a chance.
Why do you think that caputa did very little if anything for bert?
Yes, boys and girls, deals do get made in politics.
BC bert really did not exert himself too much, imo keith was preceived as the winner by mid to late june and i believe that all parties thought it was in their mutual interest to try to heal the breach. Norco labor has nothing to gain by prolonging the breach. Neither does keith.
Prolonging the breach would only guarantee an eventual battle between local 562 and ibew local 1.
Yes expect jeff c to get kes endorse in april. again thats how things work-you help me and i help you. its not "dirty politics", its just human nature. grow up.

Keith put a lot of his own money into the campaign and needs the labor endorsement for fundraising to pay back the loans and have money for the general. In return, he will support labor choice of Caputa and he will kiss and make up with Kellett...everything has come full circle. English will be a puppet for labor again just as he was when he was first elected to the council.

Labor also needs keith in a sure to be repub dominated house and senate.
labor needs every friend it can get.
while i anticipate rheka to work hard, the race is keiths to lose.
The post of state rep is just gonna be a launching pad for another race in april 2015.
One on one i give KE the odds.
Labor is not the tiger it used to be and while their efforts on behalf of bert werent exactly very impressive they failed in jc v ke last april, the judicial special election in november and now in ke v ba
If they back the wrong man in 2015, they lose the big prize.
bTW mayor tom has paid his debts to BL by appointing tL as chief and by other appts. This being said I believe that tim will be a good chief and i wish him well.
If the mayor continues to appt per the dictates of larimore rd he opens himself to the prospect of a successful electoral coup d'etat in 2015, assuming the opposition does not fragment.
If the union leaders were smart and wish to preserve what influence they can, they will realize that tom cannot be continued to be perceived as a puppet of norco labor.
however things being as they have been and probably will be, the leadership of labor will continue to act like it is still the 1960s and will not awaken from their self induced dream state until it is too late.
It is highly possible there is going to be a radical reshuffleing of power at 955 SF in spring of 2015.
Look to three squared twice seperated by a nullity.

Seperated by a nullity twice three squared nine,
From the beautiful fountain raised on the east side of the line,
The summer solstice gives us a sign.
The swamp transformed into sweet and fine wine.

Try to figure it out, DJ, its all there.
