I am looking forward to Dec 21 lol. I bet a lot of crazy things happen that night. I might be a little disappointed if nothing happens that day. I'm not saying I want the end of the world or anything to happen, but at least a random Zombie sighting, or maybe some strange lights or UFOs or something lol

I find myself watching the world political stage unfolding.... I'm thinking end of the world scenario along the lines of world war 3, or a huge pandemic, followed by economic collapse. Eh, I'm probably wrong, but I do feel like the end is near. I dont think anything anything cataclusmic will happen on the 21st, but maybe its more like a marker for the beginning of the end.

At least you had the pride to correct yourself, most would just leave it be.Most people don't give a damn about typo's either because they're incompetent or too lazy to even care.

Me being a History Channel enthusiast,I've seen that the world lives daily under the gun, threatened from "several" devastating planet altering phenomena. The andromeda galaxy is currently headed straight for us at seven miles a second, and our sun is currently depleting it's fuel(burning out). Both of those can be calculated to a precise date though. As can all dinosaur killer sized meteors that will "inevitably" strike the planet sometime down the road. One of the nearest stars is nearing the end of it's life, and will inevitably go super-nova.The gamma-ray burst from that (trillions of degrees) could wipe us out instantaneously.Nasa can likely calculate that to a precise date as well,,,but won't admit it.Among some other possibilities are the Yellowstone Park super-volcano system erupting and sending us into nuclear winter,,,causing another ice-age.Plate-tectonics could cause enough large earthquake to cover the entire landscape with molten magma as well as create inland killing super-tsunamis,,,(only cooling that magma and hardening it up).Any "one" nuclear submarine is equipped with enough plutonium to destroy the entire planet.Considering that "anything" man made is prone to mistakes,(Chernobyl),and all computers are prone to hacking, then I would say that such a destruction is not only possible in the near future,,,but likely. And if you're only counting human destruction as opposed to planetary destruction,,,there are several nerve-agents and biological weapons that could wipe out the population, while leaving all buildings and constructs whole. No sign of humans at all after the last fragment of of our tennis-shoes withers into the sand via a mild raindrop..........Or if you want to cling to popular Mayan belief,,,aliens are gonna come back and "get" us.

Thanks for noticing. I'm kind of a spelling nazi lol. Prone to sudden panic attacks when I realize I've submitted a piece of writing only to find out later I made an obvious mistake. Blame the perfectionist in me.:p

Don't know man.In a scenario, where "everybody" in "every" house on "every" street in "every" neighborhood in the country or (possibly the planet) is starving to death and desperate,,,it may be simpler to travel with the rest of the zombies that are hunting and gathering,,,rather than sitting around on a stockpile of food trying to defend it.In short, the show "Preppers" has taught me one valuable lesson as well.If you were to be fortunate enough to have a stash of rice, beans and chicken broth in the basement,,,don't advertise it on national television.Well,I figure that preppers and Mormons will likely be the first basements raided by bands of starving zombies in a survival scenario.I guess one positive thing that will be if the world don't end,,,is the fact that non-perishables will be going for nickels a truck load on E-bay come new year.Good luck either way dude.

That looks good on paper I suppose.I'm with you one-hundred percent though,if when the aliens come, they have our benefit in mind,,,and not their own.Would be hard to believe that a civilization would spend nine-hundred gazzillions of trillions of billions of dollars or whatever currency/resources they spent to get here, and travel for light-years in the confines of a space-craft,and come fix "our" problems.Do you suppose that in reverse,,,N.A.S.A. would do the same??? Make no mistake,I'm not disputing you kiddo, something on that scale would be awesome indeed,,,I just hope they behave if they drop by.

Another thing what is with all the UFO reports, and meteor showers over the past couple months. NASA caught a lot of strange movement from a telescope camera. Strange lights are reported all over the country, and there has been several meteor showers, plus yesterday an Asteroid passed between the earth and the moon, and causing another meteor shower tonight. For people up here in Louisville, there are going to be an expected 75 meteors per hour, best time to view is after the peak around midnight.

Dude,I so appreciate the heads up on the meteor shower.Me and my ol' lady laid on bleachers at a foot ball field five or six years ago and watched one for most of the night. That's one thing that will be to our benefit if the poles shift,,,we'll be able to see the northern lights from here.

If the poles physically shifted the northern lights would be the least of your worries. There might be a magnetic shift.
