He should receive a medal. Why should the rest of us be inconvenienced because some douche wants to ride a bicycle on the road.

Yeah, we have trails in parks for those idiots to ride their queer-cycles. You want to ride a bike on a road that is used by vehicles 2000 pounds heavier than you? You DESERVE to get run over.

I agree, they are an inconvenience, but if you hate them that much then you should get the law changed, not endanger another person. For instance, I hate having to stop for a school bus to let off kids. It's a huge inconvenience especially during rush hour and many of the stops are unnecessary...but I wouldn't try to hit a kid.

Can't say that I condone his actions,,,but certainly understand his frustrations.Honestly,it's my opinion that biking down the road as a sport on anything that can't do the speed limit, presents a serious danger to cyclist and driver alike,,,and should be strongly discouraged. If not outlawed completely.

Share the road!!! Acting like it's a big deal to pass some one hugging the shoulder. Oh my god I had to swerve out of the way for 2 seconds big deal. I bet if you idiots went to bike 1 mile you would have a heart attack. We should take away your Drivers License for being this dumb.

You know? I almost started to argue with you.
However,I quickly realized that would make me as big a moron as you are.
Bottom line is,,,you can't always swerve to miss a bicyclist without running the risk of hitting an oncoming vehicle head on.And when you come around a curve to find a bicyclist on your side of the road and an oncoming vehicle close to your position,,,it presents a serious danger and "unnecessary" risk to all three of you.

The editorial writer for the St. John’s newspaper,“The Workman”, on August 2, 1918 declared in a bold headline,“Reckless Autoists” that:
“The life of the average pedestrian in the City (St. John’s) these days is one of perpetual peril. Let him attempt to cross a street, in broad daylight, and he is lucky if some auto doesn’t come around the corner, at a rate of 15 miles an hour, and just miss him by a scant foot, while the chauffeur glowers at him as much to say “Get off the earth you lobster. What right have you to be on the street?”
The newspaper continued that the car was here to stay but that the police should be diligent in convicting those that exceeded eight miles an hour. He wrote:
“The auto has come to stay off course. But a lot of haughty daring drivers seem to forget that the pedestrian was here first. Even he has a right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” The police should take the number of any auto driver who goes around the corner faster than eight miles an hour, and the magistrate should soak him the limit every time.”

I don't hate pedestrians partner.Only drove enough to see the danger they present to themselves and drivers.
And it really makes me curious as to why when they designate a bike route,,,they always choose the curviest most dangerous road in the county to do it.Such as Beech Grove Road in Bullitt County. That road is barely wide enough for two cars to pass, and don't have a straight stretch on it over ten feet long.Yet that's where they chose to designate as the local bike route.
And unless I'm mistaken, the bicyclist that was hit by a truck and killed in Scott County Kentucky yesterday,,,seems to support my point.
