From the article...

Kym Frazier and Rhonda Bryce have heard the sad story quite a few times before.

A Coonhound dog is bred for hunting somewhere in the south, where the breed is very popular. Yet for some reason the dog doesn't show the right instincts to be a good hunting dog. The owner then just lets the dog loose, or drops it off at a shelter.

Shelters throughout the south are overrun with abandoned dogs. And if a shelter can't place a dog, many times they are euthanized. Bryce said she knew of a shelter with 800 dogs at one time and had to have half put down.

Ive been a coon hunter for years, had many dogs, some good some not.The ones that are not,I euthanize them on the spot. There is one thing I cant stand and thats a dog so stupid he cant smell a dang coon.I think most them dogs know this:if u hunt with Ole Lemmon you tree the coon,if not, you simply take a "DIRT NAP".

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
