Do you suppose that Mike King will still be willing to reimburse Union County for the legal fiasco fees incurred when he lost his cool and made a big fuss in the court house trying to get rid of our jailer? I very much doubt that the new Board can accept his money since it was a Board decision in the first place. Here is a suggestion: He should donate that money to the different county funded agencies such as the library, Union County Fair, Area Agency on Aging, Sheltered Workshop, County Home (C.A.R.E.), etc. I am sure that all of these groups could put this money to much better use. These are a few of the committees on which the supervisors serve - anyone familiar with their services knows that they are not "bogus", that serving on these committees is time consuming but rewarding. Each committee varies in the number and length of meetings held - some meet monthly, some quarterly, etc. That still does not make being a supervisor and serving on these committees a full time job!

I think he should give the money to those who work at the court house, they should have a raise. With the insurance premiums goimg as high as they did most of them are taking a big lose in pay....
Divide the money and give it to the employees.

King is once again trying to feather his lame duck nest by changing the county health policy. If this happens, his health insurance premiums will be cut in half until he reaches 65 - guess who will be paying the other half?! We, the taxpayers!! Tell our supervisors this is not acceptable and anyone who votes for it will be laying THEIR job on the line. It is time to put a stop to this nonsense!
