Ok all has been said back and forth, both good and bad. But I want everyone to think about one thing. How can you say there was a rape when there was no evidence supporting it? The Golf Course is a stones throw from the emergency room. If I was raped, that's where I would go. Yes the DCI tapes, but if you watch them, words are being put into their mouths. With the technology today, with no DNA evidence I say this case was misjudged.
The two officers in prison was the best evidence the state had.
They temselves convicted themselves with thier own words and actions.
These two officers were not good outstanding men of character.
They should never have been in the leadership roles of high ranking officers of the law in the first place.
The case was judged by a jury who heard the entire case and the two were found guilty. That is justice. And they even had a jury in a location removed from where the assult took place.
They are where they belong and where they should remain.
As I myself have a difficult time with the stories they told and wondering the truth.
The victim was consistent in what she said happened but the officers seemed to have a lasp in memory not once but over and over again.
They hung themselves with thier own tongues. Once you lie a jury can not believe anything you say. And that is the LAW.......

The only thing DNA proves is that there was a sex act with a particular person. It NEVER confirms a rape.Testimony IS evidence. Circumstantial evidence IS evidence. When you say there was no evidence you are wrong. When you say that words were put in their mouths you are also wrong. They may have repeated what was said; but that was a choice on their part. And you have to remember that these are not two ingnorant schmucks off the street. These were law enforcement officers who should have been very aware of interrogation techniques. And if they weren't what does that say about their suitability to do their jobs? After that many years and holding the two highest positions in the department the public should expect them to be knowedgeable in police work skills. And as for your expectation that every victim of rape would go immediately to the emergency room just because that is what you think you would do...well, let's just say it shows an incredible lack of critical thinking skills on your part. I get such a kick out of people who don't bother to think or investigate before they write what they do! LOL

Yes you were posing a question. Your previous posts sort of give you away on this topic. These 2 were not tried in the media via selected clips. They were tried by a jury of their peers who did hear all the relevant evidence. So what is the question here? If you were not at the trial then you don't have all the information. Why keep questioning a group of people who gave up their lives for 2 weeks to listen to the evidence? It sounds to me as if you are either family of the felons or have a vendetta against the victim for another reason. Pretty transparent.

Apparently not transparent. You are wrong! This isn't about me, last time I checked. I do however am uncertain of the outcome of this trial. That is my right and my choice.

And do you have know wnat happened on that night?? were you there??They were given a fair and just trial, judged by a jury of thier peers in a location far from the gossip, and the jury did hear all evidence and all the DCI tapes.
It was clear in your earlier posts where you stood so your comment seems mute.
I do believe the stae had a witness that was there that night that testified under oath that nothing was going on when he left at 12:30 or 1:00. Are you saying that that witness was not there???

You are absolutely right, Sara. It is your right to believe whatever you want to believe. The world is flat and if you sail to the horizon you will fall off; there are little green men everywhere; and there we found weapons of mass distruction in Iraq! If this isn't about you who is it about??? It is also evident that your choice is to stoke the fires on this topic.

I never said who I thought was there or not? I have not seen all the DCI tapes? Have you? I would love to, to better give me my opinion on this case. I do not believe police officers get a fair trial at times as they are representatives of the law and should be held to a higher standard. I do believe that we are all human though. I also see where 2 football players recently raped a girl and they had a lot on them both!!! They both walked. I see pedophiles that can not be cured in anyway let out time and time again to reoffend. I see that murderers can get parolled! BUT these 2 are not given a second chance at life?!?!?!?!This makes NO sense to me! Sorry that is how I see it!

From the news, the appeal is no more. Both courts have denied the appeal. They will serve the years , as a jury found them guilty.
They both lied so much over the events of what occured. Even if they had got a new trial, they would be facing the same judgement, as once you lie what else can be believed?
It is sad for the families.
But I do not feel sorry for the boys, and I say boys, because men would not do what they did.

These officers should be punished more harshly and the sherrif too. Because they ate supppsed to serve and protect they are seriously corrupt and that reflects on the whole department . Someone has to stop all of this and to the woman assaulted stay strong.....

Are you kidding me?? Everyday there are examples of people IN CRESTON that get busted for meth manufacturing, distribution, stealing, assault, etc. that end up skating by and possibly getting some probation time, only to then strut around town bragging about how they got away with something. These are cases where there is undisputable proof. These are people that are out there influencing your kids. Nobody seems to care about any of them. These guys? A clear he said/she said case that are sentenced to 25 years?? How can that possibly be fair or just in any world? And before you jump on the big "you don't understand battered women" bandwagon, rest assured, I do. I have been the victim of real sexual assault. The rumors were all over town about the "victim" and the "offender" long before this incident, and that, to me, says it wasn't a rape. I didn't attend the trial. I didn't see all the evidence, but then due to all the rape shield laws, neither did the jury. I am not related to these people, they aren't my close friends. I don't have a horse in the race, but I DO NOT share you opinion. There are people that can look at a situation and NOT see it your way. I believe that even if this were a true rape situation, the sentence isn't just. I would rather have Jamie Christensen in the community than many of the meth heads that are admittedly manufacturing and selling to our kids behind bars. Our justice system is broken. Compare the punishment of these two guys with the punishment of the rest of the people convicted in this state and see if they weren't judged more harshly. Personally, I don't think that is right.

I pray that you never have a relative ever raped.
Your comment is INSANE as you must be yourself.
The two officers lied, then lied again and again.
The truth is easy to remember, you do not trip over yourself when remembering it.
They are where they put themselves.
They seem to be strangers to telling the truth.
