They'll put it off as long as they can, to be sure. They know they are guilty and they aren't in any hurry to settle down with BUBBA. To the victim; hang in there....they'll get theirs!

Of course they will try and put it off. The attorneys want all the money, and they don't give a shit what there families go through..that is an obvious one!

You should read the posts about these two jokers on the Des Moines Register. Apparently residents from Des Moines can clearly read what is right in front of them unlike some Creston residents. No matter what anyone does you cannot stop this. Read the blogs under Trial date set. Do the search under Creston. You'd be amazed.

Yesterday there was a whole column, as every day. It was a topic called James Alan Christensen, ex officer from Creston Police Department and there were 66 pages of information on this web-site. I would like to read it again, please. I commented to Creston News Advertiser and NOW we all want to know where those 66 pages of information, opinionated went. If Stephani Finley or the Creston Police Department had it removed I would really like to know. This is a case of THE GOOD OL Boy syndrome and there is too much going on-back to sweep it under the rug. Baloney---NOW WHERE IS the article and WHY would you remove it. This site gives more info than KSIB or CNA. The truth will come out so please respond to the folks who are using this site, only. In Creston there is No News and No News Updates-that's just wrong.

Oh well, they took it off. It doesn't change the way I feel. It is my opinion that JC could of stopped this and didn't, he could of reported it and he didn't, he could of fired JS and he didn't. Nice way to SERVE AND PROTECT!

Oh and JC could have apologized to the victim for not stopping it, I'm guessing he didn't. My opinion, that I am entitled to.

As I have sat back and watched this train wreck, the more and am bothered. I realize that everyone is innocent until proven guilty but yet what I don't understand here is if all JS did was cheat on his wife then why lie in the first place? I really do not understand why on earth either one of them would try and get their jobs back, I don't care if it is their right. Morally and ethically, if it were me I wouldn't want my job back. First and foremost, they have been accused of sexual assault, if they are given their jobs back who would ever take them seriously. What happens when they pull someone over, or answer a call at a residents home? What happens when someone who is a smartass calls them a rapist? They will have their guns back, that is not a good situation. Or what about copycats looking to cash in, say they pull a woman over and she cries rape, who would you believe now, even if they are innocent. I think all of this is just insane and why would you even put yourself through this. I honestly feel neither one of them deserves to have their jobs back, and why would they even want it now. Use some common sense and walk away. As far as I am concerned at this point, if they are found guilty, they need to serve the time. Our children need to see that when you break the law you are held accountable. The victim needs some peace. And I would like to go to bed in my home knowing these two are not patrolling our streets. I would like to read the paper without seeing these two jokers on the front page, I would like to ride in my car without hearing on the radio. I want justice to be served on all accounts from them wanting their jobs to the trail. I want justice to be served for the victim. I want justice to be served so all the people who need to take off the blinders in this town will see what these two did. People don't lie to the law when they are only having an affair. People lie when they have something to hide. These two tried to hide this, tried to cover this up, tried to run from it, now look where they are. Face the truth boys, it will redeem you.

I am angry that JS's appeal is a closed session. I am a taxpayer, I helped pay part of his salary, He is charged with a crime, I should be bale to voice my opinion right in front of him and he should have to listen. This is ridiculous.

I believe they are both guilty, there is no sane reason to lie and continue to lie, "they were seasoned police officers", right, they both know how interigations work, right, just does not add up..Yes Sickels said it was "consenual", but Christensen said "the victim expressed that she was not consenting to the act"......their stories are different....they both are lieing thru their teeth. And the fact they are appealing the lose of their jobs makes me ill. No matter what, their conduct is why they were fired, and the mayor took the correct action, they can not come back, the citizens of this community will come unglued.. But thats arragance, for them to even think that is possible. I have not heard one person in this community say they are innocent.....and for the appeal being in closed session, that was Sickels, he requested it, is it right, no, he should have to face the citizens, those who paid his salary...that should tell all that he can not face us, WHY??????????Something very sinister happened in the early morning hours on April 18, I believe they did RAPE her, and thought in their minds she would not report it. We should all stand behind her for her great courage to stand up to Crestons two top ranking police...how frightening the Rape must have been, then to have to stand up and report it..THAT IS COURAGE........Victim stay strong...
