water at night

nuff said- help the City out and water only on the days the City says its ok.
It is better if you water at dusk or night time.

I don't know anyone that waters their lawn anymore. If I water the plants it's very little water, hose would be on for about 3 min. if I water at all.

If you water in the daytime it cools the plants off about 20 degrees. Evaporation cools the soil off a bunch too. I just watered a bunch of squash, cucumber and cabbage plants that were sagging from the heat, and in a few minutes they stood back up. Watering at night is fine for heat tolerant crops but daytime is best for those that aren't. It takes less water at night due to slower evaporation times.
