I heard on WJOL that there is a Sonic Drive-In opening in Crest Hill somewhere on Plainfield Rd. Does anyone know where exactly?

At Larkin and Plainfied, on the Northwest corner, kitty corner from Big Lots, there is a borded up gas station.

If you go towards the mall on Plainfield the Sonic will be on the north side, right across from Crest Hill Animal Clinic (best vets in the area by the way)

We ate at a Sonic in Arizona and it was awesome! We tried the new Crest Hill Sonic and were completely disgusted! We had to wait for 40 minutes for a "stall" to open and then when we got the food, it was less then edible! Paper thin hamburgers with zero flavor! They didn't even include a sit down dining room! Poor planning. Sorry, not recommended!

Sandy, you waited 40 minutes for a stall to open? Really? What is the truth?

I went to the Sonic in Lockport once when the month promotion was a burger and shake for $3.99. I thought the burger was 100% better than McDs and BK.

The no sit down, I think that will kill Sonic in Illinois. We have two seasons here, hot and humid or freezing cold.

Sherry, we did wait 40 min. for a stall !
People were lined up on 30 to get in.
We even had people meet us there and they parked their car and got in our car so they did not have to wait. As for the burger, very poor and way too much money for them. They where paper thin. The service was very good, I will give them that.
I don't think I will be going back there again.
The Sonic and AZ, we could not even finish our burgers they where very big and very good.

Have visited each week since opening. Great products. Note; All burgers are created equally in this chain although they did have an Angus Burger (Bigger) several years ago, run for about 3 months.
Value, all ones perspective but their burger is bigger than all the other chains (Fact)....SuperSonic Cheeseburger is the best on the planet.
If other locations in Chicago, winter does not hurt, maybe more drive-thru than pull-in. Few less skaters. After all Phoenix has hot and HOTTER (115deg) I'll take Chicago. Who needs a Dining Room...at McD's I just have to find a dirty table to clean.
As I have grown up in Southwest, Chicago is now heaven BECAUSE is Sonics arrival.
ps, heard from TB Manager that sales at TB down 60% since Sonics opening.! Nice

I'm sorry but I do not agree with you Steve. We were very excited after eating at Sonic in AZ to have this one open. Unfortunatly, the food was less the adequate. Could they have had a bad day? Sure. We will try one more time, but the way I feel, polish a turd, its still a turd!

Sonics in some of the western states have nice dining rooms instead of eating in the car or outside at a table by car fumes.
