Your list has no real leaders on it with vision, experience and motivation.

Neal Sternisha has higher aspirations than the position of alderman. Remember, this is the guy who made a point of reminding everyone how educated he is when he was running for alderman. I doubt he is content with the same job description as some of the others sharing that table.

The $60 petty cash expenditure is just the beginning. There is a long way to go until the next mayoral election. This man has a plan and it should be interesting to see this play out.

Well I know I won't vote for the current mayor and alderman for my Ward. They can't even get the streets salted before people have to go to work. Does no good to come by at 7:45am.

No one knows what street you live on, but As any city, there are main streets that need to be done first before all the side/artileral streets get done. those would be streets that are main travel routes for Public safety (fire, ambulance, police) than for school bus routes, than after that the other streets

It seems that's all Sternisha thinks about, his own aspirations!
If the Mayor says it's black, Neal says it's white.
All it seems he wants to do is put down what ever good the Mayor wants to do for the City.

If he is waiting for election time to bring up something that would have saved the City money all this time, then that's pretty sad and only self serving. what a waste of talent, too bad he is not a team player.

Neal has spent his entire time on the City Council bringing up ways for the city to save money. Mayor Soliman refuses to listen to him or to anyone who does not want to spend money like a drunken sailor. Mayor Soliman has been a failure as a Mayor and as all other things. He quite as a Crest Hill police officer, guess the shorts were not short enough so he went and became a mailman instead. Not that he has been very successful at that. Even with his connections as a postal worker he cannot get a post office in his city of 20,000 residents, when all across this country there are towns of a couple hundred people with post offices. Guess we see how little pull he has, more like pushing others away.

Well if Neal runs against the Mayor Neal will loose and no longer be on the council at all. Sorry but I can't recall any thing big that Neal wanted to change that would make the City move forward.
It's easy to complain about spending too much money, but then you have to come up with an idea with out spending money that will move the City forward. You know what they say "It's easier to throw hand
grenades then it is to catch them"
As far as the police and post office comments, those comments were just dumb.

You are right that Neal has not pushed much of anything to move the city forward. He has advocated not spending additional money. Mayor Soliman has spent money left and right and failed to move the city forward. We spend big bucks for Economic Development Coordinator, Brian Gay, just to stand still and see development go elsewhere.

Between the choices of 1)cutting spending and not going forward or 2)spend like a drunken sailor and fail to go forward....I choose option #1. If someone wants to actually come up with a way to go farward, then I can see that spending soem funds to do so would be worth considering.

Neal has been very quiet lately.

The Mayor; "it's a beautiful day in our city of Crest Hill!"

Neil; "I disagree Mayor, it's very cloudy, we have to change the clocks back and there are leaves all over the place. I can't see why you could say it's a beautiful day."

The Mayor says it's Black, Neil says it's White.
