Christie puts the pressure on utilities to turn on the power
Gov. Chris Christie pressed utilities to get the lights on for hundreds of thousands of people facing a sixth night of dark and cold Saturday, as gasoline rationing began in northern counties and President Barack Obama poured millions of dollars in federal disaster relief into the state.

Please turn the lights on in the Fardale Section of Mahwah (and all Mahwah) - this is crazy. 6 nights of darkness and dangerous cold - some have flown to the moon in 3 days.

if testing determines lines shorted or crossed then powering up those segments will just blow transformers and breakers all the way to the shorted area making the re-fix even longer. maybe if they would have let all the out of state volunteer electrical crews in, not just the union ones the job would have been done quicker. you'll never know since those crews were turned away and headed back to their states, some traveled a thousand miles or more.

I have a burned out transformer on a pole that was never replaced they just use a reset/switch further away so now for the last 2 years my street is one of the first to lose power.
Replace the burnt out stuff so we don't lose power when it was not really a serious problem.
Oh yeah how about some Donuts?

PSEG is joke. I was without their power for a week; but luckily have generator hard wired that runs on gas utilities.
I just got my Oct bill, which I am disputing.
My gas usage was X2 due to their inefficient service after the storm; which I contend should be adjusted. Also, they charged me MORE for electric, when there was none for days. However, the most outragous issue is that it is all based on "estimates"....proba bly because without electric they can't read the meter.
The State utilities commission, or Gov, Christie...I and I'm sure many others need to address this issue of false billing; as well as the issue of having to double gas usage due to PSEG's failure to provide service for those that were fortunate enough to have standby hardwired gas powered generators to produce electricity.
I was the "only" one in my neighborhood who had this; making my home a harbor to neighbors to get warm; have a meal; see the TV news and utilize my wireless internet.
I did my part to help in the aftermath. Now I need some help with PSEG's abusive and false billing.
