It was my son vehicle that was parked at the gas station and my daughter in law and grandson were inside the station had they been in their vehicle they would have been killed. Since the incident it is my understanding that the driver has again been arrested for DWI. Now my son took a lost on his vehicle and property that was inside it, but his wife and child survided.
How many times do we allow this person to drive DWI and end up where someone is killed? Jail time should be handed down and license taken if not it will happen again and someone will die.

I agree this man should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I hope they hang the guy. Thank God your daughter in law and grandson were not killed. Are you are going to his court date which I believe is 07/24. Is it true that he had no license or insurance? When/where did the more recent DWI occur? But I know he has previous. This guy is a danger to himself and others and has been for years. Did they do a drug test? Was he hiding drugs? Was that the reason he ran into the field?

Out of 8 charges originally filed, State will dismiss all charges except Count I, OWI and Count II, Criminal Recklessness. The Court will decide the sentencing. He will be sentenced on October 11 at 3:30. These are both misdemeanors. We can only hope the judge gives him the maximum allowed for the offenses and not another slap on the hand.
