Let the development begin! This will be private funds pouring into the town of speedway!

Please tear down the Marsh and its connecting strip mall (mostly empty) and redo that whole area.

I think when you refer to "junk" you're probably referring to your own comments.

Then bulldoze coppertree and hermitage as well as american inn. That will double speedways property values.

Maybe I understand wrong, but if it's outside of Speedway town limits, will it really be that beneficial? It's not like the track...keeping the prop. taxes low. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I remember Brent Benge from highschool...I knew that name sounded familiar! Good for him.

I think it sounds like a wonderful idea.

"19 acres in Speedway set for development" was the headline and since I am not a surveyor I assumed it was actually in Speedway. But maybe I understood wrong.....

The article went on to say it was actually in Indianapolis city limits. Not sure why they felt the need to say "19 acres in Speedway".

Glad they are finally updating this area since the 1970's. But PLEASE - no more strip malls!

They say Speedway for the same reason that anything north of Kessler is Broad Ripple and anything from Kessler down to 52nd is So Bro or South Broad Ripple.

Let get rid of all of the cities green spaces. Paved paradise and put up a parking lot. That was a great little bit of woods extending to eagle creek res. We don't want any of our children to have what we had.

You never had it, and your children would not either. It is private property, and they have the right to do as they wish. Just like you do with yours. I am sure someone lamented the loss of nature when your house/apartment/condo whatever was built. If you like it so much buy it and donate it to the city as a park. I am sure they would sell it and I am sure the city would be happy with the donation. Sorry about being so point blank, but I get ticked when people try to tell others what to do with their ground.
