Review: O C Dawg House

I wanted to let everyone know if you have not tried the O. C. Dawg House in Crawford your really missing out. This place has BBQ and Stew to die for, not to mention great hotdogs and sandwiches. I tried a welfae burger which is one half pound of ground beef smoked on the grll, smothered in cheese. This is the best burger I have ever had, The BBQ is perfect. They tend to get very busy at lunch so be prepard to wait or even call in. Oglthorpe County is blessed to have such a fantastic place to eat. Thank you to the owners, keep up the great wrok. We need you guys. Goooo Dawgs.

I whole-heartedly agree. The BBQ is outta this world and the stew is awesome. I give the Dawg House a superb rating. Great folks, great food. With the economy the way it is, I truly hope this business survives and thrives.

Ribs are Mad, man these things are unreal, better than Sonny's, better than Jot'em Down, Better than Williams, better that Harts, Hands down, BETTER THAN MEMPHIS.....great job guys keep up the great work are start cooking more cause once words spread, ya'll in for a mess....Oglethorpe County is gonna be Famous for the OC Dawg House and its BBQ & RIBS.

We had relatives eat at the O.C. Dawg House, they bragged and bragged about the BBQ,Stew, and Ribs. We actually live about thiry miles from Crawford, debated on supper Saturday Night, The Dawg House it was. What a great place, good, music, great service, and FANTASTIC BBQ. I would recommend to anyone. Smoke flavor on the meat was perfect, The red velvett cake, nice and moist, omg. We look forward to coming back soon, actually talking about this weekend as well. Went by the dawghouse, closed for remodeling. Anyone know when they are going to reopen? Are they closed for good? Didn't see anyone working around the place. Made me sick to my stomach, I hope they havent closed for good. This is the best place to eat in Oglethorpe County. Man, I had a fever for some of that BBQ and STEWWWWWW.

Herbert, the dawghouse is not closed, the owners closed last week to remodel/ add to their kitchen area. They are installing a commerical BBQ oven. I saw pictures of the cooker, according to John, the owner, they are going to finish installing the cooker next week. Someone has stolen a exhaust fan off of the oven, plus the rain hindered the completion. They are open this weekend, just no BBQ. But you are right, this is the best place to eat in Oglethorpe County. I do hope they stay open and look forward to eating more or their BBQ. Should have named the place "BBQ FROM HEAVEN".

Wow.......finger licking GOOD. Ribs are Awesum....then sum. Got a chance to eat there this weekend. BBQ was perfect, chunky, moist, nicely smoked, great flavor, SLAW is excellent as well as the STEW. Place is a little small, parking lot was full, had to wait ten or fifteen minutes for a table. Food was well worth the wait. This plate is great, wish they would move to Athens. Already READY for more RIBS. Thanks and good luck. Will be back soon.

I do agree with everyone else above. The Dawg House is fantastic. But seriously, you have gotta try the CHICKEN. OMG, THE CHICKEN IS TO DIE FOR. Hands down, simply the best chicken I have ever eaten my LIFE. I just can not get over it. Don't plan on eating during the week, new hours are Friday and Saturdays 11 until 9 only. We live in Commerce, this is our fifth weekend straight. Great place. Thanks guys.
