You said that if you can take on the role of an adult at 16 you should be allowed to be treated as adult. To follow that logic, a girl and boy can make a baby at 11 y/o. That's an adult function, but how many 11y/o's are ready for that responsibility because they were wards of the state? Circumstances of life does not mean that a kid is no longer a kid. They are just kids with tough lives.
I have to believe that you are well under 19 or 20 not to see the distinction for a 16y/o.

Sure they can make up their own mind about doing whatever they want. However that does not make it "legal" to do so. Imagine being the mother of that 16 yr old.
There are many laws for each area of underage.
Like others have said, even if the teen under 18 is free to marry, that doesn't automatically defeat the other laws, because they are still underage. There is no law stating that after emancipation of the teen, they still are counted as a minor, and not above 18. The law clearly states you must be an adult 18+ to solicitate nude pictures of yourself regardless.
Besides all these points, Myspace TOS clearly states that you are not allowed to post nude pictures. So in every aspect, the 16 yr old messed up and can very easily be put in jail or fined, especially the 19 yr old for assisting her.
