So sad that this young naive girl missed the message within. It wasn't about religion, it was about how to treat your fellow man.

Good. America is a secular state. Keep your religious nonsense out of public schools.

I've never understood why prayer in school can't at least be a CHOICE. Nobody should be forced to pray, but I don't think those who wish to should be forbidden. Why do so many things have to be one-sided? They even at one time turned down a "moment of silence" because some kids might pray, like that's the worst thing in the world. That's akin to trying to tell the kids what they may or may not THINK. It's outrageous. If I were in school now, I'd bow my head for a few seconds and pray anyway. I'd make sure I wasn't disruptive about it, that's all.

My school days were over many years ago. When I was still in school, they still allowed prayer. I think it was wrong when they took it out. Oh, we had bible reading also, every day.

Prayer isn't forbidden in school. A kid can pray privately. It is if it is mandatory prayer, aka if the teacher of a class says the whole class has to prayer that goes against our secular republic.

Kinda funny years ago when the people use to fill up churches on Sunday and there main problems in school was chewing gum. They took god out of school and stop going to church and started following MAN and we have gone down hill from shooting in school and and total out of control kids. These Kids are our future and we have made monster and the adult putting their faith in MAN will always let them down. I will put my faith is Jesus because he won't let me down and oneday I will bereunited with my son and my loved ones.

I would rather believe in the lord and when I die it will be joyous and if there is no lord then I lost
nothing. Trying picking up the new testament and reading and then voice your opinion . He will take a hard heart soft and change your life for the good.

Thanks for informing me. I have not kept up at all. But I'm glad to hear that.

Yeah most people are unformed about prayer in school. Mandatory prayer is illegal but kids can still pray in private. What I can't stand is these theocrats in America that want mandatory prayer and teaching "intelligent design" nonsense in schools. I'm really getting sick of it.

"America" isn't a "STATE" at all, otherwise there'd be a international calling code for it.
