Any info about the Emporium Marina at Cranberry Lake? Is it open? What kind of condition is it in? Do they do much business? It is for sale.

I have commentedon this in the past but I have not been there for physical reasons this winter. It is a good thing, the marina, run by Bill La France. He and his family are ambitious and they are very helpfull to people on the lake.

I hope all my friends are in good health and eagerly waiting for the spring thaw. See you all, if God is willing in a couple of weeks. Alex

I am opening camp on June 1st.for the 45 th. year at Wanakena. I will enjoy it with my Daughter and family.I understand that the pinecone has new owners as well as the Cranberry Inn. I guess all the old timers still remember Charlie Merchant as the properiator of the Inn in the sixties. Those were swell times.

I am looking for the name and phone number for the Marina (boat rental) place on Rte 3 in Cranberry Lake. I have been unable to find anything about them on line & would like to contact them regarding boat rental for an upcoming visit in July.

I sadly report that Bill "Billy" Lafrance passed away late this winter. He will be sadly missed in the community by all, especially his wonderful family. I believe the marina will remain open. They have had it advertised for sale for the past several months.

Billy was a good man.

I hope someone buys the Marina and has the resources to transform and remodel the facility.

The Emporium serves a valuable purpose for people who vacation on the lake. Unfortunately, the property itself is a blot on the landscape and anyone traveling through town on Rte 3 forms a bad opinion of Cranberry Lake when they see the mess.

It will take deep pockets and a huge commitment to make it right.

Very sad to hear of Billy's passing. He was a great help to us many times over the years.
