I haven't made my mind up about who I'm voting for because I really don't know much about either person. What I don't understand if the medical examiner is the jail doctor he gets paid for services as an attending physician. A doctor from the health department isn't going to do jail visits for free, he/she will get paid also. So what's the difference? The ME is going to get paid for his services should there be a death, but the ME or health dept. phyisican is going to get paid also for services as the jail physician, neither one is going to do the job for free. It's as long as it broad. Are there that many deaths at the jail?

I think he is honest , has integrity , do something about keeping serious criminals in jail rather than the revolving door method that we have now , not always agreeing with Alan Cloninger who is political influenced

Cliques need to go...If you look hard, if you have a problem with a person, not even Alan but you can see associations and people who support him and there are your cliques, just like in high school, guess it stops when this old dude dies, people never grow out of cliques, young or old. It gives them a sense of belonging, trace his associations and people that support, they are the same "type" as in my crap dont stink people. Jeff Bryson is a normal, plain, hard-working guy, that is for just people and keeping real crime off streets, not like Alan wanting to raid people medicine cabinets and give his untrustworthy deputies the ability to pull people up on a computer to see what medicine they are taking... Jeff know their are way more real crime than making problems by being nosy, can you imagine if Cloninger would get the bill passed to where a 8.00 and hour deputy that gets bored at work can just type in everybody on his street to just "see" what medicines they have filled and where. There has to be a stop to this intrusion by government, you can not trust people with that kind of private information, it gets done enough already with gossips and people abusing power and abusing state computer programs where you can look up people private information. Rambling now ha

all i have to say is why cant someone drive there own 2010 charger...Sheriff Cloninger has to have someone drive around for him... no joke ive seen him countless times at the local diner livin it up while he has his deputy chauffeur on the clock. Moreover, he cant even drive his own golf cart decked out with vote for our Sheriff signs. I'd say thats a long shot considering that i never saw "our Sheriff" until the challenger Jeff Bryson came along... Do the right thing, Vote JEFF

For far too long has this county been governed by the "good ol' boys." It is time for a change in this office. Someone with fewer political ties and fewer "backs to scratch."
Some thoughts to ponder...
1. How did Alan originally become sheriff? He was appointed by Leroy Russell, right? Rumor has it that Polie, Alan's dad, bought Leroy a property at the beach in exchange for appointing Alan as sheriff.
2. Where does Alan really reside? Well, he list his Dallas property as his primary residence, but he also owns a lake front home in Clover, SC located at 1178 Pole Branch Rd. Which, by the way, is right beside his mother's home of 1184 Pole Branch Rd. This home is approximately 13 miles from the Sheriff's Dept. In which home would you rather live? One that is valued well under $100k or a LAKE FRONT HOME?!?! I don't even have to ponder as to where I'd rather lay my head at night.
Why would anyone want to elect someone who doesn't even live in the state, much less the county they are promising to represent and protect?!

Alan is doing a fantastic job, Jeff will only make the place suffer with his scetchy tactics and lies. He should have run a clean campaign then maybe my vote would have been different.

How did he not run a clean campaign?? I haven't heard him say anything degrading about Alan. In fact, at the Gaston Gazette Forum, Jeff said he voted for Alan in the last election. He just disagrees with the revolving door our jail has. What sketchy tactics and lies are you referring to?

Jeff Bryson is the best . He will work for the people .He believes
in freedom . He willl keep the hardcore prisoners in prison and not waste money on the less offenses ,but will have the ankle bracletts
made where they can't be removed by those offenders . We need an all around good guy vs. a fat cat who needs to go !!
