They can not brain storm, there is one between them. It serves the town right, you can only ridicule and put folks Dow for so long. When they fight back, I am on their side.

I think that PINK wall is a lot worse than a car in someone's driveway without a tag on it....Why don't they make the store owners remove that bright unattractive color like they hound folks regarding cars without tags?.Please please correct this BAD decision!

Face it folks, the people running this town, Greg Beal, Danny Jackson, Mayor Hough, the Mount Holly Community Foundation, really don't have a clue. They really don't, and the people suffering are the taxpayers.

I'm hearing the pink wall is the beginning stages of implementing a new design scheme downtown. The whole town will be eventually painted pink. No other town in America has done this. Our slogan will be "PINK TOWN USA". Our mascot will be Pinky Tuscadero. Our doctors will specialize in pink eye. We'll attract the beef industry companies that make pink slime. Pink Floyd will play at Springfest. Opening up for Pink Floyd will be contemporary artist Pink. We'll encourage each home to place a flock of pink flamingos in the front yard. Mary Kay would be proud of Mt. Holly.

I am surprised it's still in the Holland family. I am also surprised that the Pet Store could make radical changes to the appearance of the building without the Hollands approval. Of course, when you live in the most posh area in Charlotte why would you car about little old Mount Holly?

Looks like somebody has come to their senses....... I believe they are pressure washing the ugly pink paint off of the wall at the pet store. Glad to see it is being removed! Let's leave it natural brick. It looks soooo much better!

Well, it appeared that they were trying to pressure wash the wall. I assume they found out how difficult it is to remove paint from brick... Should have thought about that before they painted it. I am thinking of getting a petition together and approach the city council to make sure this gets removed. It should be removed no matter how hard it is to remove it or how much it costs. Now it really looks bad. Would folks agree to sign the petition if I went to all the downtown businesses? What do you think? I am really wanting this pink wall changed back to the original brick if you can't tell....:)

I would support removing the pink eyesore only if it meant bulldozing the entire block.

It's the city who is making them change it - it violates lots of ordinances. The city has been going through the process since they painted it pink.

How long do they have to complete removal of the pink paint and comply with the city... It has already been a month almost?

Who cares? No one goes downtown anyway. If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?
