As a parent of children at Cramerton Middle, I would like to hear others open comments on the principal Cristi Bostic. It seems she is never in her office, can never get her to return calls, she gets personally involved or should I say personally angry at the kids and once you are on the "bad list" then you have had it. I think Cramerton Middle really needs to evaluate the principal surveys, from other parents comments, this principal is immature and not capable of running this school and being involved with the parents. Principals are suppose to be accessible to the parents and trying to get a conference with her or even speak is like trying to talk to someone in the White House. I have first hand seen her throw her weight around when she gets a chance to enforce rules or show her authority, but to talk to parents and be mature enough not to let her personal feelings about a student or a parent get involved she is not by far in the ranks of other principals. Just wanting to hear other parents experiences with Cramerton Middle and the administration at the school.

I agree, a principal survey should be done and I am sure I think they have done them. Now if only the school board would pay attention. She is immature and not principal material at all. She gets her sights on certain children and is only concerned with punishment, the caring and compassion is not there, and the love of the children is not there. It is just a paycheck for her and people like this need to change professions. She needs to be fired, she has over stepped boundaries alot of times and talks to parents like they are children. I heard she even downgrades parents to other teachers and if any child is not up to her standards she could care less. People need to bound together and write their complaints to school and board, bottome line she needs to go, I agree.

Cramerton Middle is a very good middle school, not because of the principal, the teachers, the studens, or the parents, but because of all of the above. Take a look at our society, is it perfect? If you answered honestly, then you would say no, just like all of our schools, they are a relfection of society.

If you have complaints about Cramerton Middle School, then you must have complaints against society as a whole. What are you doing to make it better? Are you part of the problem or a part of the solution?

If you haven't noticed, Cristi is no longer at Cramerton, she is at East Gaston.

first of all you have to understand that having a child in any public school systemmeans being an object in that school with your child making your face just as well known as your child if not better.the school system assumes that parents don't do enough for their children they in turn over compensate by stepping on parents rights, not giving enough detailed information about school activities and programs, make personal threats and communicate some times false or improper statements.no institution is solid . especially public schools however this institution has a bigger institution behind it.and whenever they are in the wrong you will never know about it.however when they have a problem with you the parent ,or the students they will certainly let you know about it.

Three very good teachers left Cramerton last year. I hear more will be gone after this year. Very unusual for good teachers to be leaving a good school, perhaps the school isn't as good as it used to be.

Teachers, good teachers, are leaving that place. Next year it won't be the same school. principal needs to move.

Most teachers who are leaving now are doing so because of how they are being treated - not just at Cramerton. Mandates, micromanagement, crazy testing, continuous ( and pointless) meetings and paperwork, an unfair evaluation system based on student test scores, Common Core, continual ( year after year) slide in pay, lack of textbooks and materials, disrespect from elected officials, etc....... THIS is why teachers are leaving public schools.

I think they're doing the same at Stanley Middle. That school definitely needs to be shut down because it's a health hazard and the children are learning nothing. There are students at East Gaston who came from Stanley Middle and read on a 3rd grade level. I can't blame it all on the teachers though, I'm holding the parents accountable too!

You might be right...but consider:

1. If you shut it down, where do you put those children?
2. Build a new school? How do you pay for it? ready for higher taxes?
3. Teachers deal with the hand they are dealt. The package walks in the door. They aren't miracle workers. You are right - the key is PARENTS. Sadly, not of much that happening these days.

1. Disperse the students and staff to the surrounding schools because I'm serious when I say that school is a certified health hazard.
2. No. disperse the money as with number one to cover costs and shut the school down instead of pumping tax dollars into a death trap they call a school.
3. While I respect teachers, there are enough bad teachers to add to the list of bad parents, as well. LOL

Thank you for a reasonable response and not one of malice. I love to discuss/debate with people in an adult frame of mind. Time and time again I see so much hatefulness and disrespect on this forum and all I can do is shake my head in shame, hence my screen moniker.

1. Which middle schools can accommodate these students? How far away are they?
2. The " money" that travels with a student is not capital money - it is operational money ( not even enough to truly pay for that. You will have to raise revenue to build a new school.
3. I find your comment about teachers totally untrue and reprehensible. If you think they are that bad - don't send them. Homeschool or go to private school.

I wish I could compliment you the same - but your disrespect to teachers negates that. I marvel that any of them go back to those classrooms each day with this kind of derision.

I agree with you. Additionally, I think way too much money was spent on Stuart Cramer High School. Ridiculous that some of that money wasn't used to clean up the black mold infested Stanley Middle and the mold problem at EG.

Brought to you by a taxpayer-paid teacher surfing the forum while her students throw spit-balls at one another.:-)

The fact: Not all teachers are competent. Anyone who claims they are is just plain stupid.(In the correct use of the word.)
