Interesting vote Mr Tucker. Shame on you! But I guess we all know why. Does this law prohibit half your "buddies" from being able to run anymore? Or are you just planning ahead? HAHAHA

The only non-unanimous vote came on a measure to strengthen the law prohibiting certain criminals from running for public office. Recently in Lincoln County, a candidate who’d been previously convicted in a vote fraud case dropped out of a campaign to return to office, but there was concern it might happen again.

“The law’s been on the books for over 80 years that if you’ve been convicted of treason or bribery in an election or a felony you can’t hold public office if it’s been unreversed, but the Supreme Court has interpreted that in a pretty poor way about 80 years ago so this would just clarify that. So what does it mean for persons who’ve been convicted of offense who might want to run for office? If you’ve been convicted of treason or bribery in an election or a felony you can’t hold public office,” said Judiciary Committee Chair Sen. Corey Palumbo.

One of the 2 no votes came from Nicholas County Senator Greg Tucker, whose father, a former Senate President, was convicted of crimes. Sen. Tucker said it was a memorial to his father, but he didn’t want to talk about it publicly.

But what was it exactly Randy made the news for? DUI maybe. Fleeing the scene? We need new people in there, not dragging up old politicians that have already screwed up. You want to be on the road with anyone who is DUI. Driving under the influence, of DRUGS or ALCOHOL. Same difference. Punishment should be same for all.

Let's put Greggy back up front & center as a supporter if all the fine Ex-cons & Felons he is supporting in his Senatorial district. Sen. Tucker just what are you doing worth while for us hard working law abiding citizens?
