Anybody heard rumors of D&M Mkt. sold to muslims or hindus?

I am sick to death of the ignorance and preducice in this town and elsewhere. Arabs? Those people are from Inia which would make them Indians. Most of India's population adheres to the Hindu religion, however these folks who have bought the business here could Christians for all I know, it happens to be none of my business or anyone elses. By the way, India just happens to be the largest democracy in the world, I wonder if anyone in this town can even understand the concept of democracy. Our constitution states that all men are created equal. All you so called "patriotic Americans" out there need to take another look at the ideas our country was founded on and get over yourselves. If I have to hear those folks called "Arabs" one more time I'm going to lose my mind.

Just a little curious, here - is the bathroom in your house split in two and marked "whites only" and "coloreds"?

no there has never been one in my house and never will.one did knock on my door one time but he left very quickley for some reason

I hope who ever bought D and M will at least clean the place up. It is an absolute disgrace. It hasnt been clean in so long im not sure it ever can be again. It already looks better outside since they moved most of those buildings out. Same goes for Saylor Mart. You couldnt walk in there without coming out smelling like cigarette smoke. Maybe some one with some pride will clean both those places up so that CO can get more people to shop at home. The only place i will go is Lonnies cause it is at least clean.
And as for as the complaint about all the "Indians" Every one comnplained about the Mexicans coming and taking the tobacco work years ago, well farmers had to get someone to help put their crops up, the "white" boys all got too lazy to work hard. Then every one started complaining about the Amish coming in and doing this or that. Again, if we dont someone will. Any one of us could have opened the same businesses that they did. But again everyone has become lazy and expect to have things given to them not earned.
And you know I very well remember what happened on 9/11 and it is heartbreaking to watch "America" give up. Our "people" have become lazy and dont want to try to improve their own situation much less the nation.
So we really cant blame any other group of people or race for what is happeneing, because we have stopped trying to improve ourselves. They are reeping the benefits.

Well it was all about money. they offered big and they took it. rumor has it they "rag heads" want to own all the lottle stores from CO to somerset. i will no longer go to d&m. those people that worked there are nice but i can't support the owners and i hope CO joins me in this.

So much prejudice and I am guessing that the ones that proclaim to be good upstanding christians are the very same ones that are balking about someone of a different nation taking over a store. Hellooooo ! This is 2009, time to move into the future and stop living in the past with all of the prejudice beliefs that have been passed down to you. We are all human, we all bleed the same color blood, we all have feelings and emotions. Just because someone is from a different part of the world or practices a different faith does NOT make them a bad person. How would you feel if you were in another country and all you met up with was prejudice? Why don't you try putting the shoe on the other foot instead of just thinking about yourself for once.
