This question is old but I decided to answer this for anyone who was looking and might see this post.
It's in Spartanburg. I went there for 40 hours before I quit going. At the interview, they lie about the job - this chick named "Tesha Finley" was the girl back in the day - she's a black woman. She's going to avoid what the job is actually about in the interview. You'll go for like a week and learn how to mess w/ Kirby vaccum cleaners, hear stories about fake people making tons of money and see fake checks they made out for 10k and stuff. You'l eventually be told that you are going to be driven, going door to door, trying to sell Kirby's w/ a quota of 15 sales a week. They are really vague about it because they know once you find out you are out of there..
Well, I went for 40 hours and did all this demo stuff and they don't even pay you for sitting around for two weeks learning how to do this stuff. It's amazing that they are allow to bust your balls like this man... anyone that reads this and sees that they are not legit and are only out to bust you and still goes deserves to be scammed out.
I am still pissed about this 2 years later and just wanted to check and see if anyone else was still getting burned and surely enough they are still till this day. Don't let it happen to you, Tesha brings in big dollars fucking people over. If you stay longer than I did, you learn that even after 2 weeks of training (that's what they call it) and two weeks of sells attempts that you don't get paid at all if you don't sell anything. This is yet another bullshit thing because they feed you around almost making it sound like you get paid no matter what... just don't fall for it.
I remember being pumped and getty back then, sitting in my car $15 hr, I said aloud - because this is what I was told... little did I know I was being scammed out and fooled.
I still feel like an idiot for this stuff until this day I wasted two weeks of my life I will never get back...
LOL @ TESHA - she comes off as a super legit person too which is even more fucked up because she's hitting you from the back w/ a big strap on, not giving a fuck that she's screwing you over.
THEY AREN'T REGISTED W/ THE BBB... HMM... I WONDER WHY LOL...
I hope this bitch TESHA reads this some day, dumb whore!

if you put that much effort and hard work (riding in a van and not even knocking in or trespassing)into your own buisness or your life.......
you would be the man you want to be in this post
wake up and do some real work
btw....whats the current low ball you can give me for a kirby
how about you just give me your office managers number or your division leader and ill just laugh at him/her
*you can use and destroy so many cheap vaccumes and still have money left to help a kirby salesperson buy some lunch*
BEST TIP IF YOU ANSWERE THE DOOR TO KIRBY
SCRATCH YOUR HEAD LIKE CRAZY AND ASK IF THE DUST PAD DEMO WILL GET RID OF THE HEADLICE OUTBREAK INSIDE?

Tesha Finley is white number one lol and I have purchased a kirby through RTS and my son has since been employed by RTS and is now a Team Leader. I do think that people really bash RTS before they even give it a chance.

First of all Kirby is the most legitimate job out there. It's one of the few opportunities that allows you to start on your own business with little to no experience and very dollars out of pocket. I am in Kirby and the RTS Organization is well respected organization in Kirby along with distributors Tesha Finley and Johnny Lawrence. So before you go bashing please get your facts straight. When you sign the agreement form, you sign an independent contractor agreement. That means you are in charge of your own business. You control how much you make. So get off your butt and work hard in order to make it happen. Or pack your bags and go work for Burger King, either way it goes have it your way. But don't bash Kirby or RTS.

I worked for Kirby for about three weeks.
Got trained, and was informed about all the mumbo-jumbo.
I even went to Atlanta for a "Kirby Spirit Rally"...free breakfast and everything. Tone-X was a guest speaker (fun fact: he worked for Kirby too, but made the smart decision to get out...)
That's all the positive stuff i can say, now for the real stuff...
Sold my first Kirby on Day Two. "Preferred Sale" is what they called it. Which meant that the $250 bonus i was supposed to get was turned into ZERO dollars. I wonder who got paid for that....MAYBE MY BOSSES...?
(Lady who bought it lived in a $250,000 house, and they tried to say she had bad credit? Bullshizz)
So after two 50-hr weeks and only three presentations, I decided to get a REAL job, which pays just as much as Kirby "promised" (not Burger King, but factory management).
I decided to call my bosses to tell them about my departure, and realized i didnt have the office number in my cell phone.
Google'd "RTS Spartanburg SC".
Number one link: RTS is it a scam?
Read the stuff, and saw that i wasnt alone.
So let me give you guys a link, and try to tell me that this is not the RTS strategy:
Anyone who tries to deny this is obviously a Kirby Independent Dealer crony, and is trying to further the lies this company used to waste my time in the first place.
Have fun with that. Time to repost on pissedconsumers.com .(Which has A LOT MORE fun stories about Kirby mishaps)

it's very possible. A big house means nothing if there renting it or is behind on their mortgage and trust they always pay people because they want them to stick around. And secondly you have to do the 15 demos a week to get the base pay and third these people has family if they don't get paid how would they support them.

I worked here for about a month or so two years ago...here's the thing...if you don't have kids or warrants it's great and totally legit, provided you don't mind trespassing, soliciting, and vein a pushy salesman. I sold four in a week, got my commission and bonus check the following payday without error. If I sold, I got paid, plain and simple. However, people WILL call the cops on you on an almost regular basis. Business hours are like either 9 or 10 am, I forget when the meeting starts, until ...whenever the fuck someone on your van is finally able to get rid of one if them bitches, which is somewhat difficult to do. I've been on a Kirby van until 1:30 am sitting outside a jones' house waitin on some super cracked out lookin dude to try and close a sale. If you have no responsibilities, or legal issues and are comfy vein a pushy type salesman...this is for you. I'd do it again if push came to shove. I really like Johnny and Tesha. Travis was my team leader and was as professional on the clock as could be.
