I have known folks who were stung once or more times when they were young and faired okay though it...it seems though as one grows older the treat of those small things that happened during our childhood suddnely can become life-threatening issues. Sometimes only one sting can do it. But certainly an attack of a multitude of bees, wasps, yellow jackets, etc. could be death threatening to almost anyone.<quoted text>
...and yellow jackets will chase you down. I've been attacked as I ran away after accidentally disturbing a nest. They literally followed me stinging me on my face and neck. Relentless, nasty little creatures, and lethal to those allergic to bee stings and the like.
The noise of a lawnmover stirring up a nest is becoming more and more common in this area...but common things can attract bees of all sorts...one that my mother found to be annoying was regular ladies' hairspray...the scented kind especially. Bees would fly around her head when she came home from the beauty shop...and she concluded it was the
fragrant scent of the hairspray. If you notice something like this...beware...you might request the hairdresser to only use unscented hairspray or else no hairspray at all...It's better than being attacked by those pesky insects and risking your life!
