Im tired of hearing Huff's excuses. He should have retired years ago. It is time for a new set of eyes on those cases.

It's not snitching! It is empowering yourself and your community!

I dont know this detective, but I can say this for sure, I would rather have a well seasoned detective then and fresh face.

Unfortunately It is common knowledge that we will have more murders before the years end. I fear that every year it will progressively get worse.

Dear Chuck, I would rather have one of the most highly respected detectives working on a case then a political pawn of the chief of police who wouldn't know the truth if it bit him in the &&&

Every crime has clues left behind that will aid in solving it. Perhaps the homicide unit needs to brush up on thier skills in finding these clues.

I'd have to wonder if all the detective shows, etc. on tv aren't teaching criminals to be smarter about their crimes...just a thought.

I know Mike, and I know the people in the Homicide Squad. I know it is hard to catch some of these people because there is very little to go on, and there is no "check the answer" in the back of the book. The guys in the Homicide squad have spent years honing their skills and they solve more murders than other departments in other cities. That fact stands as proof. I have talked to them and they use tools, experience, and training that most of us have no clue about. But when society will not help, it is that society that is ultimately at risk from these people. Those of us who are police officers can pretty much protect ourselves. But it is you, the public, we are trying to take care of as well. I heard a statistic that about 95% of crimes are solved from leads given to police. We are then the ones that will stare danger in the face and confront the killers that society can not or will not face. I do this because I want to protect my community and make it a safer place for all my friends, family, and their friends and family because we cant always be there when you need us. I like the saying and it goes for me too as I think about my fellow police officers;

We sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would harm us.

Without your help, we cannot find the people who put us all at risk. We need to stop being afraid and stand up for our families. You can even be anonymous, and call, 918-596-COPS. It is answered in another city and then leads are immediately sent to our police department so you can truly remain anonymous. But whatever you do, help us help you and your friends and family to be safe. Together we can win this war against violence.

Every victim, whether drug dealer, meth user or innocent victim deserves a thorough investigation. For years, I feel that is what the people of Tulsa have received. Those who know the killer, but refuse to cooperate are as guilty as the killer and deserve to live a life of terror, always looking over their shoulder, wondering if they will be next.

This snitch rule is BS. If you know who did it, then you are just as guilty by not turning them in. God isn't going to care when you stand there and say "Well, no one else turned them in either." Really people, these are human beings. If you know something, step forward.

Cops don't solve crimes. They make traffic stops & write as many traffic violations that they can, hoping that someone will snitch on the guilty party. CSI is for Hollywood.

Then why don't you step up big boy and do something if you know so much? Probably because you are likely a two bit felon with an axe to grind against anyone in law enforcement.

No Snitching should equal No Help for a certain community which will remain unnamed. I will give a hint, North Tulsa.
I know of several instances where it didn't matter what race or area a crime was committed against, the no snitching rule applied. I personally know of a two recent, non-published case where a black man was assaulted with a firearm (two different scenarios), they know who did it, and when it came time to talk to cops both said "we will take care of it ourselves".

I know of a recent incident where a white supremacist was put on a hit list by his fellow brothers because they thought he had snitched; the logic they put forth is that if it happens to you, we deal with it, if it happens to someone else not a brother and you know the details, forget them.

So you see that it really does not matter what race, creed, or city district, if you are a criminal or invovled in any gang a snitch is a dead snitch and murders beget murders because of it.

Maybe they are getting harder to solve because of all the tv shows out there providing information as to why this person got caught!

I'm sure the police dramas have had some influence on the criminals, but they also influence the public. Real crimes are not solved in 60 minutes. Real police departments do not have the budget to have all of the fancy equipment. We expect real cops to act like the ones on TV. Wake up, Detectives like Mike Huff do the best they can with what they have to work with. Detective Huff is one of the true good guys. If you want these murders to stop then stand up and quit being cowards. Stop buying their drugs, stop paying their prostitutes and stop allowing them to go to high school sporting events. Start treating them like parasites and then maybe we can get rid of them.

I have never heard of this no snitching but if that is the case we will continue to have murders! Police can't solve everything alone, it takes the community to Stand up and speak up!!
If a person takes a life they will not have any regard for anyone else's life either so it might be your family member next. I would have more fear knowing they are still out there killing than I would snitching.
I pray for all the victims family's and know justice will come if not now it will later.

Gangs are nothing but a bunch of coward want-a-be trying to impress each other. That is why they have to target easy prey. They would scream like a little girls if they were forced to go into the military instead of prisons.
