The Springs is a wonderful place and their staff is nothing less than professional from the housekeepers to the administrator. My father resides there and they have always been great. Libby needs to stay off drugs.

If you truly did work there, you should know that there are such things as HIPPA laws and considering you just breached that law, you should think before you speak next time.....and there are such things as an IP address and you can be tracked so I hope the right person doesn't see this

And I never worked there but I was visiting my family one morning when I seen a man gently scooting his chair back slowly and BOOM right in the floor of the dining room. All the other CNAs were feeding and it still took a few seconds before they got to him. Lets just say my family no longer resides there. It was the most horrible thing. That man wasnt feeling well you could tell by his face and tried to take himself back to his room and ended up hurt.all because there wasnt enough staff there.

To say the housekeepers dont do their job is a JOKE and Im still laughing bahaha. We work HARD! When you come into the facility and find the CNA made beds with clean linen, and fresh towels and was cloths available in the carts and in the shower rooms, and clean linen room, laundry/housekeeping is responsible for that. We take on rooms left at varying degrees of dirty. If my math is right, and we are fully staffed, we are alotted approximately 15-25 minutes per room once you add in all the common areas and both dining rooms and shower rooms. Lets just say 4 rooms per hour. I think its fair to say housekeeping is a very physical job. We bend, lift, push, pull and stand all day..unless were on our hands and knees scrubbing. Id love to know how much the cart weighs, not to mention the pounds of linen, clean and dirty. And the heavy, smelly, leaking trash. We take carry it out no matter what the weather is. From the shower beds to the bathroom tiles, shower rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected. Hair, and unmentionables are removed. Chrome is shined to remove water spots. The rooms are dusted from the top to bottom. Wonder how much the furniture we move out to clean in behind weighs? Or how about the room changes , when were responsible for moving all the residents belongings from one room to a different room? When these room changes happen, that knocks down our alotted time to clean each room. So even if this doesnt sound like much for twenty minutes to you, lets not forget changing the mopheads/mopwater per every four rooms cleaned, emptying cart garbage, any unexpected spills or accidents, and stocking the carts as we are required to do. So make no mistake, housekeepers are not lazy!

I don't see where any HIPPA violations occured in this post/ are you an idiot. HIPPA violation would be if patient name and condition were discussed by healthcare provider. Read up on the laws before makeing stupid remarks

Since new management has taken over last summer there have been a lot of changes for the better. The staff is wonderful and yes there may be a few a few kinks left to work out the staff truly does care for the residents there.

in all honestly the springs was the most sought out nursing home in virginia it was the sh* but then they changed the administration and the place went downhill from there. for the price of one of their rooms u would think they would pay top dollar for help but they dont

The springs is much better since new administration....do you have any clue how many have been in and out of there in the last few years?? The ones that are there now actually know what they are doing and they are doing it well....someone actually has control in the building....something that has not happened...ever....it is a good place...95% of the employees have their heart in the right place and that's not something that can be taught to anyone...it may not be the best place ever but i would put my family there...things are going to happen at any nursing home but the people at the springs are a family and they love the residents

First let me just say wow! Yes there are times that housekeeping slacks....but rest assured the CNA's do their jobs and go above and beyond their call of duty. I had a family member there several years ago before the new administration took over and trust me I know first hand what filth and neglect look like. Since the new administration took over things have gotten somewhat better. As for the DON....ppl take her the wrong way. I thought she was a bitch but got to know her and she just has her head into keeping the staff and residents in tip top shape. Those residents depend on the nurses, kitchen staff, housekeeping and most importantly the CNA's.

The residents depend on everyone working together as a team, NOT people putting themselves, or whatever department they happen work in as anymore essential to the facility than any other department... Didnt you ever hear of "Yertle the Turtle"? The King fell off his throne when he made a ladder out of all the others he felt he was better than... "That plain little turtle whose name was just Mack decided he'd taken enough. And he had. And that plain little turtle got a little bit mad. And that plain little turtle did a plain little thing. he burped. And his burp shook the throne of the king! And Yertle the Turtle, the king of the trees, the king of the air and the birds and the bees, the king of a house, and a cow, and a mule...well that was the end of the Turtle King's rule! For Yertle, the King of all Sala-ma-Sond, fell off his high throne and fell plunk! in the pond! And today the great Yertle, that marvelous he, Is King of the Mud. That is all he can see." See, the little guy on the very bottom of the stack was very underestimated... You putting your department over any other (publicly particularly) just runs the facility as a whole into the mud. A teams star players cant be awesome alone. Whether you're the star player or the waterboy, its a team effort to make the place what the residents deserve it to be...Nobody working in that place is more important than anyone else regardless of their title. Just saying!

My grandmother has been here for a few months and I live a few min away. Well I check in on her everyday and at different times and every time I have been there its been great. It's clean, nice employes working there and they love when I bring my kids there. My kids enjoy it as well. It's nice to see the smiles on there faces and I believe if they were treated bad they wouldn't be smiling. Food is very good and my grandmother has come along way since she has been living there. If you see that there's a problem why don't you go down there an help out. Volunteer your time and make a difference instead of b!tching about it.
