So far so good. This is the best place to eat in Covington. I also like A Touch of Soul across the street which is open in the evenings. The only thing I don't get is why they would choose Tuesdays of all days to be closed.

I live in Seattle now with my wife, but grew up in Ripley, Tennessee primarily and hung out in Covington a lot. I am assuming that is some kind of new restaurant. The next time I am back in Tennessee (We usually visit about once a year or every other year) I will check that out. Back in the day, I loved hanging out at Sidestreet Pizza, lol. Anyone remember that place?

It is a good place to eat when I am passing through Covington headed to Memphis but the prices are on the high side.

i ate there last month and had a great steak at a reasonable price.covington has needed a place like this for so long.marlos on the square is over priced and way too chi chi for covington.other than that, all you have is fast food and joints.best of luck to the bb...hope its a huge success!!

The food is good without question. Concerning the prices, it is interesting. On some stuff like steaks, the prices are very fair. However, on other things they charge way too much. I suspect they are going to put many restaurants out of business in Covington.

I went to the Bald Butcher the last time I was in Covington (I live in Lauderdale but I am frequently in Tipton or Dyer Counties). I thought the food was good but not great.

After hearing all the rave reviews, I decided I'd go to Billings Bald Butcher Restaurant. I phoned in my order...country vegetable plate...white beans, cole slaw, potato salad, french fries, and rolls, for $4.99 plus tax. I was glad to pick up my order in the gift shop...to the left as you enter...because I had my hair rolled up! This way, I didn't have to be where all the people were. Very nice...inside and outside. And the fries weren't the little twigs you get at most places; they were fat and crinkly and not hard as rocks!

I visited the Bald Butcher and was not very impressed. It looked nice on the inside an out. Our waitress was slow, forgot our drinks, then forgot to bring us rolls, forgot my salad. By the time i got my salad my food was already at the table. My steak was really thin and not very good to eat. The baked potatoe was really good though. My boyfriend thought his was pretty good but overall we would rather eat at Erwin's or drive to Hickman Ky every once in a while and eat at Hub's.

I am not crazy about the Bald Butcher. The prices are a tad bit high but that wasn't my problem. They offer very little variety on the buffet, their sports room is a joke. It is obvious the Billings only support certain teams (some of us actually do like the Memphis Grizzlies who are an area team) and the food is mediocre for what you are paying for.

The Bald Butcher is a great place to eat. I know the owners and they are good Christian people and the atmosphere reflects that. The BBQ and ribs are great and my family loves the Sunday buffet. To respond to Danny's sports room comment, alot of area teams are supported and there are a variety of teams recognized in there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED restaurant!

I don't personally care for the food there. In regards to the sports room, I am a big Titans fan and wish they did more for them even though the Titans are having a bad season.

If I was you, I would just get the baked potato. Unless you just want to stay at home and order a pizza. I like pizza.
