We knew that. BP has made a greater effort to keep the oil dispersed underwater and hidden than to curtail it.

I'm sure the Congress members who voted for the bill that limits BP's liability in this 12 billion dollar screwup to 75 million are laying low....so their repub voters will ignore that fact.

Sweet deal for oil companies if you can get it. Similar to the record level taxcuts Bush gave to them.

You'd think they'd use it for acoustic triggers are some other backup system. All that profit these last few years, along with huge taxcuts, and yet the money didn't go towards a 500k backup system.

I wonder when Obama will come on national TV and spin it how it is Bush's fault.

The $75 million limit is contingent on BP having no negligence.

True dat! And if the Fed gave them a clean bill of health (which they DID) during their "inspections" they may just have a case. The Obama administration seems to have dropped the ball on this one. The Fed was more interested in the exploits of "Long Dong Silver" than saftey measures! Unless they were checking the porn site for condom useage! LOL
