Full story: Richmond Register

"Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the gentiles are turned to God." Sometimes we try to make Christianity harder that it really is.

This is a good story from the "Richmond Register".I agree, sometimes we as individuals have pre-conceived notions as to what makes us a Christian, depending a lot on the belief system we grew up with. Some of us grew up in the church, some in a home in which the parents never darkened the doors of church.Going to chuch does not make one a Christian, however I kind of think if we are truly Christian,we will want to go to church.I have heard people say, well I try to be a good person & treat my neighbor right. That is good, but being good is not what will purchase our salvation. The bible says,"Whosoever will, let him come & drink of the water of life freely."What it takes is recognizing that we are poor, lost sinners,in need of a Savior.Jesus is that Savior. He paid the price on Calvary for our sins.We must accept His death, burial,& ressurection & put our faith & trust in Him.Folks we cannot improve on God's perfect plan of salvation. We can say, oh you must do this or you can't do that, but the blood of Christ makes us free from our sins.We can never be perfect here on this side of Heaven, but Thank God through his great plan of salvation,& the death, burial,& ressurection of Christ we are made whole through what He did on the cross of calvary. If you believe in the virgin birth, death by crucificion,& resurrection,& soon return then I can worship with you.May God bless those of you who believe, keep the faith on this beautifull Palm Sunday, keep trusting. To those who have never made that step & believed I urge you to keep seeking Him.Jesus said on one occasion, seek & you will find, knock & it will be opened unto you.May God bless.May you find that peace that passes all understanding,& the joy that never fades away.
Amen

I am a firm believer that if "GOD BRINGS YOU TO IT, HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH IT". We, as Christians, need to extend a hand to those who are lost. A very wise President made a statement, "WHEN WE FORGET THAT WE ARE ONE NATION UNDER GOD, OUR NATION WILL CRUMBLE", which is what is happening today! Stand up Christians and spread the word!

Honey, you hang in there.Try not to get mixed up with the wrong kind of friends, that will lead you down the road to illicit sex, drugs,& other things that will wreck your young, tender life.Read your bible,& pray, ask God to go with you & protect you with his Holy Spirit.Try to find good Christian friends through your church.Remember to keep trusting in the Lord.He doesn't save you today, & send you to hell the next day.It isn't about you,& what you can do to save your self.He paid the price for our sins. You will never achieve perfection in this world, but we are MADE PERFECT because we trust in what He did for us on the cross, not in what we do or don't do.Read 2nd Tim.1:12 There are lots of comforting verses that will "certify" our salvation through trusting in Christ. This AM I talked by phone with my sister in Ark.She has been fighting breast cancer off & on for 5 yrs.Her doctor told her & the family last Sun. they had done all for her they could. The cancer has spread into her lungs. She has been in hospice this past week. She is progressively weakining away, but she was not sad,she joked & laughed with me,she is up-beat.She HAS that blessed hope & joy, & peace that passes ALL understanding. She's "Just waiting for her ride". That is a song the Hoppers sing.It describes her to a tee.She is 68, but not sad, but in a joyfull mode. God bless you "sexy rainbow chick" as you try to walk with Him.Don't get discouraged,if you fall by the wayside, get up,dust your self off, go back to where you left Him.You will find Him waiting there for you with loving arms.

I got saved a couple years back and it feels awesome, but if i've learned anything through my experiences, it's that life doesn't become any easier, in fact Jesus said, "...The world shall hate you because of me". But when you trust in Jesus, he'll be there to lift you up and carry you through the trials you will face. Remember that, "the pleasures of sin only last for a season", then you must pay for your sins, by spending eternity in hell, "For the wages if sin is death...". But if you give your life to Christ, and live for him and follow him no matter what anyone says. you will be rewarded, "...But the gift of god is eternal life". If you can face the trials of this life with a strong christian heart, and stand upon the rock that is Jesus Christ, one day you shall be standing before the throne of god, and he will say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant". and for those seven words, all the pain, tears, and strife of this life will be SOO worth it! god bless you my brothers and Sisters in Christ, and remember, CHRIST IS THE ROCK!!!!!

Churches are a big, money-making, tax-exempt business.

All you need to read are the Gospels. They are great advice. I don't know if Jesus really said these things or if Jesus was God, even a real person, but the book of Matthew is really all you need.

Seems to me that a person who has been saved shouldn't be posting hurtful things about hating certain people on this website. Maybe you need to go to church a little more often. Gods wouldn't approve of some of the things you have been saying.

I'm a fan of the saying "All roads lead to Rome." Comparative religion can be an enlightening thing.

I would highly disagree with you. You should really educate yourself more before making a statement like that!

Don't ever think that God gives up on you . You may turn your back on him but he never gives up on you!!!Satan wants you to think that and believe me iknow when you are down the devil will work on you to keep you down .Just keep praying and asking the Lord to help thru things and you will see it will all work out .

Great Men of God wrote the Bible inspired by the Holy Spirit. Go to a church and be taught the truth the Bible says How do you learn without a teacher? No you need to read the whole BOOK I would say proverbs is a good place to start. You need to be around christian people to learn from them. Gods word says STUDY TO SHOWE YOURSELF APPROVED get in there read it digest it. The Holy Spirit will show you many things. and about Jesus being God think of it like this
God the father
God the son
God the Holy Spirit But one person
Like your self lets say you are a boy you are a son ,a brother , a student but...you are all the same person. Its very exciting and these are exciting times we live in Hope this helps! When God created man He said "lets make man in our image God is a real person.
