What was the police officer thinking when he shot Rivera to death?! I hope his family does something about it. If the officer didn't see a gun on Jovan's possession why did he shoot him as if he was being attacked by Rivera!

Rivera failed to follow the officer's instructions, and started walking away. When he was told to stop, he didn't, and then he made a move that made the officer fear for his and other's safety.
Don't judge, you weren't there!
The better question is, why did Rivera rob the store in the first place...

I will judge! You should judge! Police have no right to shoot people who don't have weapons. People like u who automatically give the police the benefit of the doubt are the reason they shoot unarmed men. Because they can get away with it. Being a police officer doesn't make u a righteous person. I'd rather be a robber than a murderer.

Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune (bit.ly/R83SML) on Tuesday that Rivera didn't have a weapon.

Now, why would the L.A. sheriff frame a Azusa Cop? Could it be because they've had a turf dipute for years?

The cops let too much time pass before allowing the paramedics in. They were staged at the gas station for a good 10 minutes. Precious life saving time! They also knew he was the only suspect sooooo......What were they waiting for? What was the hold up on medical services?
NO HAPPY ENDING HERE FOLKS!

No one here knows why he did what he did. For the people that say, "less thugs on the streets" it's such sadness for you to think that way. Jovan was a great person; he was a son, a brother a father and friend. One of the most noble people someone can ever meet. Life lesson: Don't ever judge a book by its cover.

After 4 months of jovans death it feels as if it happend yesturday.. I have known jovan for many years and as long as I can remeber he was a sweet, funny, clever guy. The last time I saw him was at my job.. he went about two times trying to contact an old acquaintance I happen to be very close to. I was so busy, that both times I forgot to tell that person about jovan . Next thing I know hhe's calling me at work to try to get intouch with this person. So I ended up connecting the two old friends and it went well. Although they both know eachother for so long one way or another they seemed to lose contact and he was always the one trying to reach out. One way or another he made it happen for them to say hello. Every now and then I get these hunches and weird connections and I see him even at the theme park, he's trying to do the same from where ever he's at... only this time is not to see this person I'm close to but someone else he was close to. Idk wat he's trying to tell me idk if any of you believe or not but I just hope that if any family member sees this I hope they don't get ofended but rather happy that he's an angel now watching over his mother and son.
