More police and security just ain't gonna do it. Nor will any type of neighborhood "stop the killing" marches. Nor the makeshift "sidewalk memorials" or the never-ending countless numbers of "car washes". It's the parents...stupid! If you don't know where your kids are all the time...I'm sure the coroner will let you know...

That area is such a dump. Shooting all the time. Caused by all the Mexicans that live there.

Really too bad but so predictable.

Get rid of the Mexicans and get rid of the problems.

Funny you say that when you yourself live in La Puente. I do agree though about the're are gang bangers that make that small area look like a dump.
I live in West Covina north of Shadow Oak and I will not send my kids to Nogales High School, I've been driving them to Diamond Bar for the past 5 years. The Rowland School District should understand why some parents don't want to send their kids to Nogales High School and make the District of Choice program available for everyone again instead of forcing students go to their runned down schools!

What do you expect? When they were discovered they were ripping each others hearts out and throwing virgins into volcanoes and shit.

Maybe that's why the start having kids as soon as they can, so they won't be the girl going into Popocatepetl?

Actually I live in Walnut. This rag keeps saying La Puente, but I do not mind. I live about 3 miles East of where this shooting occurred.

You do not see this happen at Walnut HS. That is becuase there are asians at WHS not Mexicans. I know asians have gangs, but I have never heard of a shootout at Walnut High.

These idiots that have shoot outs at Nogales, just serve to make their race, school, neighborhood look like a joke.

Sorry, may be racist but a bullet is a bullet and idiots are idiots. Just the truth.

My girls go to Nogales and its a school that cares about our childrens future. They offer so many programs for our youth it's a shame that ALL PARENTS dont encourage their kids to participate. One staff member mentioned that its hard to arrange a meeting with parents, it seems that they dont care about their kids future or maybe they just give up. Yes its not a rich neighborhood but it does not give anyone the right to act in a inhumane way. Its scary and this can happen anywhere, dont blame the school, appreciate the staff who cares and know more about the students then the parents.

how are you able to send your kid to diamond bar high school. I thought they didn't allow transfers from one district to another? who do you know? I don't send my kid to Nogales either, but you know what, it doesn't matter where we live, where we send our kids to school, it takes one low life to ruin the life an entire family.

What I don't understand is when something eventually does happen to their children, they are first to ask for justice. Give me a break.

all you people are hilarious! listening to all this hear say and talking about NHS being a "drive-by high." you paranoid people watch the news too much, getting brain-washed.
oh and "uncle vito," you probably think you know about La Puente but you have no idea. you just as clueless as the rest of the people on here. Do you think that if La Puente was an all white populated area BUT still had the drug problem that there would be any difference?
