Congrats to Sherri, Shelley and Mike!!!

And to Sykes, it's not the deep pockets that was an issue because you spent quite a bit of cash yourself!!!!

Lets speak the truth...... YOUR LACK OF VOTES IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT ALL THAT COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH IS NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE!

I'm thrilled we have positive people in office!

The West Covina voter got it right! Sykes had no ideas, no platform. Just lies. Just negativity. He spent as much as the incumbents. Now we will hear the sour grapes from him.

Now Mayor Roger Hernandez accuses the Fire Department of Fraud at last nights Councilmeeting. Enough is Enough 2 Years ago it was the Police Department was bad, because Roger Slammed a Garagedoor on an Officer after beating up and slamming around a girl in his apartment now it's the Fire Departments' turn.

The Citizens have had enough it's time to Recall Hernandez. He lost with Yes on Measure D and his face was all over it and then with Fraud, liar and cheat Fred Sykes and Colleen Rozatti. It's time to send Roger Hernandez (the womanizer) and his gang of cheats and liars (Fred Sykes and Colleen Rozatti) and deadbeats (John Scheuplein and Ziad Alhassen) packing! You owe 3.5 Million Dollars and still have $50,000. in unpaid Political Mailers you scum.

The current council had to report where there money came from Pete, Fred Sykes had someone else pay the $50,000. dollars behind closed doors and who's dirty? Kind of like Reggie Bush's house payments?

That is so sad that West Covina allowed the incumbents back in the city council.Deep pockets is not the excuse for open disrespect for homeowners and lapsided improvements on the eastside of West Covina. The city is divided and Toughey should not be representing West Covina with his deception on the Olson development project that not one person would take ownership of the poor management of the project. The city council has allowed too many projects and the election should be investigated as well as the city council members.

Wait, you said it wrong.... the rich guys lose!!

Those that were re-elected can't afford to send their kids to private school like Sykes does or have 150,000 in their campaign coffers like Hernandez... yeah, those poor people!

And just because the WINNERS of the election report where they got their funds from and the LOOSERS don't file that little tidbit of information - don't be so upset about it.

West Covina still have a lot of haters from their southern roots and we as a city has failed to change the attitude that was here 36 years ago. Now, I understand the poor school performance and lack of police monitoring in the city.I won't even say the words about the fire department because it all joined at the hips of poor management. Its sad that hatred is alive and well in this city and the same names keep sitting in office,so its must be something crooky, if not they would have moved on a higher platform. Why would you need to pay $50,000 to run for an election in this city?It must be to keep only certain groups in power.Maybe the FEDS need to come and investigate the running of this city. When you see the trash company and businesses that would profit ,you smell more than crash circling.

Good luck getting the Feds involved. It is a shame, but most governments are crooked. The reality is, it is a pay to play system. The people are no longer represented. I think our foundning forefathers would be rolling in thier graves at the way our government is now run. I would like to start a grass roots effort across the countryside. It is truly ashame, because I am sure that there are a few good men and women out there, but unfortunately I don't know which ones can be trusted. I think anybody with an incumbant listed on thier title should be voted out. Maybe this will send a loud and clear message to all politicians, that there jobs are not safe. And we the American people will no longer stand for business as usual. Our government no longer stands for the people, it is only concerned with special interest groups and how much money and kick backs can each politician get.

I agree with you - its a sad state of affairs when voting comes down to voting for the lesser of the two evils....

So reggie's house payments were paid for by the mcintyre group, athens, wcpd union and wcfd union.

Oh, ok I get it. Thanks for clearing that up.

Then this guy Lloyd Lake is wasting his time trying to sue Reggie, when it should be mcintyre group, athens, wcpd's union and wcfd union suing reggie.

Amazing! I've read so much in these blogs regarding the incompetency/corruption within these ranks of the city gov't yet the incumbents are enabled to continue it? West Covina, you deserve what you get when this is the best that you can do.

Sykes kids went to Nogales and Hernandez lives in a condo off Azusa, doesn't sound rich to me.

The re-elected officials live in south hills, the richest area of West Covina, million dollar homes. Yes, they can afford to go to private schools. But they don't have to because they have an excellent school in South Hills High to go to. On election day I saw touhey's fat azz driving up and down Shadow Oak in an Escalade. If he was so poor, he would have been on the West Covina shuttle like the rest of us.

Really, did you type LOOSERS? I barely got thru 6th grade english, but I think you may have spelled it wrong.

Why don't you all just realize that Touhey, Sanderson, and Lane are respected enough within the WC, that is why they got re-elected. Stop with all the bashing, negativity, name calling, and pull together to help better the city.

I find it to be worse on these blogs than what WC actually is. If everyone stopped the negativity I believe West Covina can become an even better place to live. The citizens within WC make up the city not the elected officials, its AMERICAN we have the right to speak, get involved, and change things if we think changes are needed.

IT'S CLEAR THAT THE CITIZENS OF WC FEEL TOUHEY, LANE, AND SANDERSON are the right people to lead our city in the RIGHT DIRECTION.

Stop the negativity? Is that all it will take to make the city better? All those WC citizens who kept them in office only made those choices because there wasn't anything better to choose from. That's the point. WC will never become the great city it once was as long as second rate leaders are in place, incumbents or not.

What's missing that made it so great before? Lived here 29 years and everything seems the same as always.
