Last week the body of Aaron Kyle Cooper, a studemt at Liberty Unilversity in Lynchburg, VA was found in the James River. Aaron had been tubing with a friend a few days before and drowned.
I searched and searched for ANY bit if infromation so I could send condolences to his family. There was a lot of local news in Lynchburg when he went missing and about the search for him. The last story was that his body had been found.
No death notice. No obituaries in the local papers here. Nothing in the news in Coventry RI where he was fom.
Can someone point me to a story, a death notice, a funeral home somewhere, that might be able to fill in the missing info?
I was greatly surprised that the sudden death of a 21 year old did not warrant a little more coverage.

I graduated LU a couple years ago. I live out of the area now but heard about Aaron's tragic death. It seems totally weird that there was zero info about where the funeral was, when there was any visitation at a funeral home or anything. Why the big hush-hush? You would think it was big news and a million people would want to reach out.
I scoured the papers and even some funeral home websites and there was NOTHING about Aaron Kyle Cooper. So what happened? Anyone know where he was buried? Was there a funeral? Who spoke? Was there a story ANYWHERE?

"When a stone is dropped into a lake, it quickly disappears from sight, but its impact leaves behind a series of ripples that broaden and reach across the water. In the same way, the impact of one life lived for Christ will leave behind an influence for good that will reach the lives of many others". Roy Lessin

While at the coffee mess today I saw, for the first time, the posting of Aaron's memorial fund on the bulletin board. The name and photo caught my eye immediately and I wondered that the resemblance was so great, he had to yours. Reading on my fears were confirmed. Please forgive me for not acknowledging or perhaps seeming to
avoid the subject.I'm certain he was
a great guy, just like his dad.
To you and all your family, please accept my condolences, even at this very belated time.
