For those of you who were at the school in April 1969, I have just managed to get hold of the footage taken by ATV Today showing over a period of about 10 minutes various aspects of school life. Those I immediately recognise are Gordon Plaice in the metalwork shop, Alan Thorne refereeing a rugby match, a boy called Sinclair taking a shower (top half only) and, I think Rick Jones playing chess.

If any of you want a copy of this DVD I can let you know how to source it. It cost me 72 to have it transferred from the original 16mm film to DVD, so since this part of the process is complete, one would assume that anyone else could get a copy for considerably less.

Part of the agreement for providing a copy is a no copying clause, so unfortunately I can't provide copies without being in breach.

One of the kids with the bunsen burner or some other bit of science equipment should be me, if it's in there. I remember the filming in the new Science lab. Would love to get hold of a copy. Cheers and well done for getting hold of it.
Tell us how to pay you etc etc.

Hey Dave, good to hear from you, yeah some people are so twisted they think life should be a breeze. I have been here almost 29 years in June and i knew when i got off the plane back in 82 i was supposed to be back here in Canada, dont get me wrong i wouldnt have passed up on growing up over in England, the school made me who i am it instilled an independance and the ability to make it any were, i wouldnt have passed up those years for anything, i wish i could have sent my lads there, lol.
We have a saying over here, You can take the man out of the north but you carnt take the north out of the man. Ill be taking my Grandson canoeing and fishing in a couple of years, nothing quite like paddeling across a lake and down a river, somtimes you dont see another person for a week or 2, see the northern lights and tell him all my stories of Cleobury, the great times i had and the lads i went to school with.
Got to go but take care and i hope you get your ticket out of the Rat-Race, if your ever into a trip to the north drop me a line, its a big country lots to see and do. Harry has my info.
cheers Andrew.
Just came across this site, and as small a world as it is I remember you and I also live in Canada. I was in Dudley(JD11) for a short period before leaving and had an older brother named Nigel

like mr boswell i was at the school from 1965 to 69 yes i was one of those to leave at the end of the fourth year.in retrospect that was a mistake, but i was in a hurry to join my two elder brothers at the M orris factory earn good money and gain some freedom.I had been away from home from the age of seven through ill health.first bramcote childrens hospital, then corley, then cleobury .so you can understand me wanting my freedom.my favourite teachers were bugsy harper,mr lovatt,mr williams and mr thorne. The school tought you how to get along with people, because you coul'nt run home to your mummy like the day school lads.like everything in life ther was good and bad about the school, but mainly going there was a positive experience.

Just looked at the Wyre Farm site and have to say that Trev and Keith did a great job pulling together the recent reunion just sorry I missed it but was away on a business trip.

Some great images of the old place and some of the old masters including T.J Walker to pick up on an earlier query.

If you haven't already take a look.
