Every parent should be checking the CT Sex Offenders registry so they know who are the offenders in town. Right when I read this loser's name I knew he was already on the registry. I wish they would stop letting these sickos out of jail. They reoffend every single time!

I am so glad this young lady came forward. This was only the beginning. It would escalate. What a stressful thing for a 16 year old kid to go through. Prior poster is right, these sex offenders do not change. Its a shame the are released back out in society to torture other innocent people.

It is so good to see a young person standing up like this. Thank god she did something about this, it could have esculated or he could have done soemthing to another girl. Most teens would have just quit the job and kept quiet. This girl and her parents should be proud.

he was in my grade. this isn't one of those "he is such a good guy" he wasn't. he used to touch one of my friends in 5th grade, that's the earliest i know of his issues. we didn't see him much after she reported it. he's been in and out of jail, at what point does he stay in?

Actually, these people do not reoffend "every single time." As a group, sex offenders have the lowest recidivism rate of all felons - around 10% within 3 years. It varies with the crime, of course.

I would like to see a registry for all offenders, not just sex offenders. I would be more interested in the burglar / arsonist / drug dealer / car thief down the block than in some flasher next door. He may be an idiot and pervert but he's not a threat, except to common decency.

Somebody needs to teach this guy to keep his distance, watch his mouth, and keep his hands to himself. Too bad the girl's father or brothers can't do it ... then he might get a lesson that would stay learned.

I am so proud of this young lady for being brave enough to come foreward and tell what this pervert was doing to her. She is a hero in my book. Skum like this should be locked up and the key thrown away, I hope he gets convicted, and sentenced to the fullest extent of the law.

He needs a shock collar that goes off when dirty thoughts pass his through little mind.
Then we all would see when he is on the hunt.
The voltage could automatically increase with repeated obscene thoughts.
Instead of grabbing your butt, he would be on the floor wetting his pants.
I do think we all need to be proactive in being informed of who our kids work with and are surrounded by. It is a simple click of the mouse to see his mug and know who lives and works near you.
I am very proud of her for haveing the courage to speak up for herself, as too many predators depend on youth to be ashamed or affraid to advocate for themselves.
I hope you like your new cellmate ya nasty PUNK!

So you think the government should install on some people a collar that will give them an electric shock when they have the wrong thoughts?

My God, that is the scariest thought I have had in many a day. Not even Orwell could have dreamed that up.

Rick the Ripper,
You would not have to worry about having a collar, unless you have your name on a little public list with this guy.

The systems in place are not efective enough to protect the innocent.

If a little zap is too harsh (which I see people do to their dogs just to keep them in their yards) then how about a good old fashioned scarlette letter?

A little public humiliation and bold warning sign on the forehead would not cause the perv any physical harm and could at least be visible in a routine day. Or would you worry too much that it may hurt his feelings?

Your opinion would (should) be a bit harsher if it was your little girl being violated! How about we put her feelings and her rights FIRST?

I don't have strong enough feelings on this even to debate the point. If you think listing, collaring, shocking, branding, and disfiguring people are good ways to "protect the innocent," then we will have to agree to disagree.

I would like to be in the court room when he goes to trial.
Some parents go through life with their kids, happy, healthy, and wise. Then there are some parents who have to go through this kind of pain, fear, and anger, knowing that this world is not a safe place for their child to try and grow up in, especially when something like this happens. What has this world come to where a beautiful young girl like this can't even work in a place where she is safe from this kind of skum bag, the bottom of the barrel pervert? What kind of management does this place have that it would not do some kind of background check on a man coming to work with teen age girls? This poor girl would have been spared this kind of nightmare that could be with her for the rest of her life? I hope the system works in her favor when this is all said and done, there are too many times it fails girls like her who have the courage to come forward, she is a hero in my book, she is not just protecting herself, but every other girl, woman, that this skum bag may come in contact with. Castration should be done, there would be a lot less men doing this kind of thing if they thought about the punishment that was waiting for them if they got caught, tried, and convicted...

FOR your information, HE is not a sicko. HE is a 28 year old man trying to get his life back together.
Before you start saying he deserves what he got, you really should know more about his life. In my opinion, my brother has been screwed by the sex offender laws. And before you say to yourself, that it just my sisterly opinion, Iím a criminal justice student and have done quite a bit of or research on the sex offender laws. When they 1st came out, the net was very wide spread and the book was being thrown at sex offender because the nation was up in arms about finding sex offender in their neighborhoods. There was even case of a 12 year old being put on the sex offender registry for mooning a bus full of people.
