Coushatta is a sad town.the rich get rich off of shale.they rub it in the poor mans face.they get on topix and run down peoples lives, and character. One day there is going to come a time where you can find out the names of who posted what and its going to cost someone to get killed, and then what? the coushatta riot over again? The churches! everyone is related to each other. How can new people come into the town and raise their children in a town that dont care a hill of beans for them? I dont like this town either but I still have to live here.this is sad! so sad! there is so much favoritism in the city government, sheriffs department, police jury, school board. If I were mayor believe me coushatta would change in a second.I would separate the chaff from the wheat.I would have people for me and against me,but I would not cowell down to the rich, wealthy people that make more and more money off oil and gas.I would do things the honest way,but who wants an honest man in office?the reason coushatta has very little employment is because people, businesses hear things and that deters them from settleing here.Clean up the town, and the town will grow.clean up the corruption the town will prosper.clean up the churches God will be pleased. Its that simple.oh boy i know there will be some negative slanderious comments on this thread.ok Im ready get set wait for it GO!!!!

CHARLIE v. HAI CONGTANG

37 So.3d 535 (2010)

David CHARLIE
v.
Leno HAI CONGTANG, M.D.

No. 09-1426.

Court of Appeal of Louisiana, Third Circuit.

May 5, 2010.

Nicholas Gachassin, Jr., K. Nicole Reynolds, Gachassin Law Firm, Lafayette, LA, for Defendant/Appellant-Leno Hai Congtang, M.D.

James Steven Gates, Morrow, Gates & Morrow, L.L.C., Opelousas, LA, for Plaintiff/Appellee-David Charlie.

Court composed of ULYSSES GENE THIBODEAUX, Chief Judge, SYLVIA R. COOKS, and ELIZABETH A. PICKETT, Judges.

----------

THIBODEAUX, Chief Judge.

The plaintiff/appellee, David Charlie ("Charlie"), brought this medical malpractice suit against the emergency room (ER) physician who treated him at Savoy Medical Center (Savoy) when he arrived there with complaints of abdominal pain of a week's duration, nausea, and vomiting. The ER physician, defendant/appellant, Dr. Leno Hai Congtang, diagnosed gastroenteritis on December 8, 2005. He prescribed medication and discharged Charlie.

Within three days Charlie's appendix ruptured in half and caused a massive pelvic abscess. As a result, Charlie underwent a laparotomy, abscess drainage, and an emergency appendectomy three hours after his arrival at the ER of Ville Platte Medical Center on December 11, 2005. Following a bench trial, the trial court found malpractice and awarded Charlie $50,000.00 in damages. Dr. Congtang brought this appeal. For the following reasons, we affirm the judgment of the trial court.

I think coushatta has gotten sad and pathetic all the drugs and all the fighting and constent robbing and killings in coushatta this ain't the same cushatta I grew up in. This coushatta is being over populated and the mayor "Rose Bryd" ain't doing a d*mn thing as mayor. She is just letting this go and all she is in office for is the money!

man all the crimes that are being described about coushatta is the same in every town ive lived in...the drugs the killings the robbing is in every town not just coushatta...We aint over populated..the biggest problem is the rich wont let new buisnees come in that they cant embezle money from an they are scared of jobs and new companies comming an being a competion for the other buisness's that are here...as far as the crime rate there has been more in other surrounding cities since the first of the year than here in coushatta so its not just here its every where....
