go ahead and sign the lease and ask for a favored nation clause. It will get you the same money as anybody else and also request a pugh clause. If you dont know what these terms mean do a little research on termanology of the oils and gas indusrty. You might be surpised what you find.
Yeah if you can get a company to do it it would be great but they really probably won't do it. They landman I talked to said they wouldn't that was Encana.

I hav'nt accepted any offer yet waiting I guess Sort of waiting to see to see any new well areas I see them everywhere for the gas wells They say gas dos'nt last as long as the oil Sort of being cauious because one of these companies I've never heard of from E. Texas is called Impreas I think they had the highest offer so far of 7250. an acre Just hav'nt ever heard of them.. I think going with a company that is well known like Chesapeake is maybe what commonly someone would do Just giving it time...Not really in any hurry

Well, I signed a lease 2 years ago and then the oil company contacted me this year and offered me $4K per acre. Then after I signed the lease, they told me they made a mistake because of the previous lease. I had already signed the new lease before their "mistake" was discovered. Can anybody help me?

Hello curious, I recieved some info about there being oil or gas under Andersen Island. I myself live on West Cavett St. in Andersen Island. I saw your post about your friend who was offered $2500 a quarter acre. I would like to talk to you about this and get some more info. Could you email me at rockomon21026@yahoo.com??? Thanks in advance, Nic

In a previous post on this page I mentioned that some company persons still not sure who or what called Imprez or Impres they had offered a 7250. lease per ac. and 25% royalties .. Well had the oppurtunity to meet with some of the oil companies, got some interesting info.. I never knew any of this first of all this Imperez is offering these leases sort of like to buy them they will turn around and get a few extra thousand dollars off of each acre by having a landowner sign thier lease and they in turn are getting the actual ammount which I found out from Petrohawk that we are now offered 10500. plus more than 25% in royalties Guess this does not come as a surprise but interesting to say the least I wonder how many people will buy into this I think the best I've talked to so far was Petrohawk they have thier own equipment and propably won't waste any time in drilling.. Chesapeake has to rent thier drilling equipment But I'm not knocking them at all WE just had the best offer from Pethwk and were impressed...
